"Skyler is in the hospital!" I hear Kaz say. "What, what do you mean? Are you talking about Mighty Med?" I ask. "No, I mean the human hospital, Skyler's hurt."
And before you know it I notice that I'm running to the hospital. I don't even look behind me to see if Kaz is following me. I'm just running.
While I'm running, a bunch of questions are going round and round in my head. Like 'Is she ok?' or 'What happened to her?' I just need to see Skyler.
I finally make it there and I run to the receptionist. The receptionist looks like a woman around her mid 20's. She has black hair and frickles. She also smiled at me and you could see her smile reach her eyes. "I'm here for Sky- I mean Connie," I said. "Ah, yes. Are you close family?" She asks. "Uh yes," I lie. "Ok and what relation do you have with her?" "I'm cousins with her," I answer. "Great, she is in room 12," she responds.
I walk down the hall looking for the room.
Room 10... 11... and 12!
I was about to go in but the doctor stopped me. "Are you here for Connie?" He asks. "Uh yes," I answer. "Ok well, what happened is that we believe she was walking on the sidewalk when a car swerved and hit her causing a broken leg and a few scrapes on her head and left arm. Fortunately, there is no major damage but she needs to be in a wheel chair for about 1-2 months depending on how fast her leg recovers. She will also need surgery on her leg as well," he finishes. Then he says I could go in and I waste no time so I walk right in. I open the door to Skyler's room and I see a beautiful girl in a hospital bed with wires attached to her in various places. I walk in and see a sleeping beauty in the bed. I go over to her side of her bed and pull up a chair. I grab her hand in mine and just hold it. I just can't believe out of all the horrible people on the world. This had to happen to Skyler. My Skyler.
This sucked. Why does everything bad happen to nice peop-
I was about to finish my thought but was interrupted by a loud alerting noise from the machines. A lot of doctors were flooding into the room trying to figure out what was happening. A nurse turned to me and said "Can you please go wait in the waiting room while we work here?" And with that I got pushed out by other nurses and doctors coming into the room.
