Sam stepped back and we were both taking deep breaths, lips burning from the contact.

"S-Sam..." There was guilt in his eyes.

"Sorry, I shouldn't have-" I moved forward and took his hand in mine.
"Kissed you?"

"Don't be." I muttered, feeling my cheeks heat up. It was blindingly obvious that we both still wanted to be together.

"I'm going to tell Dean and Cas to, Uh, hang back. I think we can take this case." And with that, Sam walked back towards the library.

"Ugh, that's weird." Sam shook his head.

"You get used to it." I had just zapped me, Sam and the Impala to Grand, Colorado.
"6 victims and all had completely unexplained deaths? Did they have anything else in common?"

"Nothing that I can find. I haven't really looked into it just yet." I nodded my head and Sam wondered towards the main office whilst I grabbed our bags.
"We got the last one. Room 144." Sam held up a set of keys, taking his bag from me.

"It's almost 9 o'clock. I'll get started on the research whilst you go get food and beer." Sam rolled his eyes.

"Fine, but why do I have to go get food? You're the one with the super angel powers." I shrugged my shoulders, putting my bag down and taking out my laptop.

"Have you ever tried teleporting yourself, a human and a vehicle hundreds of miles away? It exhausting!" I sighed dramatically, causing Sam to chuckle.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever." Sam threw his bag on one of the beds.
"Call me if you find anything."

"Victim one... drowned in her sleep." I read through the 6 different files, looking for links when I finally found one.
"Bingo!" The door opened and Sam came in, carrying 2 bags.
"All 6 victims were at a party two weeks ago."

"The same party?" I nodded my head and Sam took a beer out of the first bag and handed it to me.

"Yeah, the hostess is a local hotel owner and there's another black tie event tomorrow night." I internally groaned at the thought of going to some posh get-together full of snobs and champagne-chugging pigs.

"So tomorrow, we go take a look at the bodies and go shopping." I let out a little laugh.

"Just another day of being a hunter." Sam laughed, sitting next to me and put my food down.

"Yeah."

Sam's P.O.V.

We ate the crappy diner food and Y/N returned to her research. I watched her for a moment, looking at how beautiful she was.

"What?" She mumbled, glancing at me and I shook my head.

"I'm just tired." I muttered and she looked at me.

"Go to sleep then, dumbass." She chuckled and I sighed.

"No, because I know you won't." She closed the laptop and looked at me with a raised eyebrow.
"I can't risk you getting hurt on this hunt because you're too tired. If you're not going to sleep, then neither am I."

"Sam, I can't sleep I-" I took her hand in mine and she stopped.

"What do you feel when you're around me?" She looked at me in slight confusion.

"Uh, happy?" She nodded her head.
"Safe, calm."

"Exactly, so why do you think I'd let anything happen to you? Asleep or awake?" She looked slightly stunned at my response and I stood up, throwing away our trash and kissing her head.
"I'm gonna get ready for bed."
I went into the bathroom and got changed into a pair of pyjama pants, not bothering with a shirt. When I came out I dropped my bag onto the bed and Y/N went into the bathroom, coming out a few minutes later in a t-shirt and a pair of shorts.

"I've got a bad feeling about this hunt." Y/N sighed, slipping into the bed that didn't have our bags on it.
"Not bad enough that something is going to go wrong, but something's gonna happen. I know it."
