Things Changed (Mashton) ✔️

Chapter 7

The next morning Ashton and Michael were in Ashton's bed. Michael decided to stay over Ashton's house as it was the weekend.

Ashton was the first one to wake up. He turned around in his boyfriend’s arms and placed light kisses on Michael's neck.

"What are you doing?" Michael mumbled

Ashton giggled lightly "waking you up"

Michael looked down at Ashton and smiled "well good morning". He leaned down and kissed Ashton.

"How do you think Angel is?" Ashton asked when they he pulled away.

"She's probably having a bad first hangover"

Ashton nodded remembering the time when he had his first hangover. He was sick nearly all day and had a bad headache. At least Michael was there by his side.

Ashton looked back up at Michael, who was looking at him. "Why are you staring at me?"

"Because you're beautiful"

Michael sat up on the bed, bringing Ashton up with him. They were now sitting face to face.

"Um Michael what's going on?"

Michael leaned down to his jeans and pulled something out of his pocket. It was a small black box.

When Ashton saw the box he started panicking "are you going to propose. Michael I would say yes but we are still in school and are you sure you really want -"

He was cut off by Michael's lips. "Will you let me explain?"

Ashton nodded. "Okay" Michael started "this is a promise ring". Michael opened the box and inside was a little silver ring. Ashton gasped.

"Ashton Fletcher Irwin, I promise you I will take care of you wherever you go, whatever you do. I promise to never let anyone hurt you. I promise to love you forever. So will you take the ring?"

Ashton was nearly in tears when he started nodding "Yes" he whispered.

Michael smiled brightly and took the ring out of the box and put it on his finger.

"I wish there was one I could give to you"

"Well the guy did give me another one"

Ashton smiled and pushed Michael back down on the bed. Michael leaned against the headboard as Ashton climbed over him and got the other box.

Ashton then straddled Michael's thighs and kissed him lightly in the lips.

Ashton opened the box. "Michael Gordon Clifford, I promise you that I will take care of wherever you go, whatever you do. I promise not to let anyone or anything come between us. I'll love you forever and always. Will you take the ring?"

"Oh I don't know" Michael said jokingly

Ashton punched his arm lightly "Michael" he whined.

Michael nodded, with a bright smile on his face. Ashton returned that smile and put the ring on his finger.

Ashton leaned down and crashed his lips into Michael's. After a while Michael pulled away.

"Forever?" Michael whispered against Ashton's lips

Ashton smiled "Forever"
