Chapter 4

It’s been two weeks since Angel moved and Ashton was missing her like crazy. But of course time moved on and Ashton didn’t want to mope about missing Angel. It was a Friday and Ashton was at his locker at school getting the books he needed when he heard a squeal behind him. He turns around to see Ashley and Bethan.

“What’s wrong with you?” Ashton asked her.

“We’ve been invited to a party” Ashley squealed happily.

“Oh will you calm down” Bethan said “Luke Hemmings dad owns a place in the woods and he’s invited everyone in the school for a party. To celebrate the end of the school year”

“And he invited us” Ashton said. Ashley nodded “are you sure”

“Yep gave her the poster myself” Luke said interrupting the conversation “so you coming”

Bethan and Ashley nodded her head but Ashton said “I can’t sorry um I’ve got something on”

Ashton closed his locker and headed for his first class, which was English. When he got to English he sat right at the back in his usual seat. When he was getting stuff out of his bag he felt someone sit next to him. He turned his head to see Michael Clifford. The class started and Miss started writing something on the board.

“So heard you weren’t coming to the party” Michael whispered.

Ashton snapped his head up from his notebook. Was Michael really talking to him??

“Um no, I have something to do” Ashton whispered

“No you don’t”

“How do you know?”

“Because homework is not something to do”

Ashton looked down and smiled. “I was really hoping you would come” Michael whispered.

“Why” Ashton asked whispering.

Michael blushed “because I want to see you”

It was Ashton turn to blush and Michael noticed and smiled brightly “You’re cute when you blush”

Ashton cheeks went to a deeper red and he continued writing down the notes. Maybe he will come to this party after all.

*Saturday Night – night of the party*

Ashton, Ashley and Bethan got to the place in the woods around seven and there were loads of people there. There was music blasting by a DJ and people were dancing on the dance floor.

“How did they get a DJ here” Ashton whispered in Bethan’s ear “There’s like no electricity”

Bethan shrugged his shoulders. Michael walked over to them.

“Hey guys” Michael shouting so they could hear him “Mind if I take Ashton for a bit”

The two girls nodded and Michael and Ashton walked into the woods far away from the party so they could hear each other speaking.

Michael leaned against a tree and Ashton stood in front of him.

Michael looked up into the sky “Beautiful night isn’t it?”

Ashton nodded and looked at the sky. It was beautiful, with so many stars in the sky.

“So you decided to come” Michael said. Ashton nodded

 “Why?” Michael asked.

 Ashton was silent. He couldn’t say that it was because of him could he?

 “Um, it was because of what you said, homework is not really something to do”

 Michael laughed and looked around before looking back at Ashton “How’s Angel”

 Ashton looked down to the ground. “I haven’t talked to her in a while. She’s in this drama class in London so she doesn’t have time to talk to me”

 “She should always have time to call her friends” 

 “Well she doesn’t when she’s in London” Ashton said. “Hey I remember when she pushed you and Luke in the chocolate fountain at our end of year ball”

 Ashton started laughing. “Hey that was not funny, do you know how long it took to get that chocolate out of my hair!” Michael said.

 Ashton continued to laugh and Michael decided revenge on the laughing boy.

 “Okay that’s it” Michael walked grabbed Ashton by the hips and put him over his shoulder.

Ashton squealed “Michael put me down”

 Michael ignored him and carried him until they reached the river.

 “Okay you have 10 seconds to say you’re sorry or you going in the river”

 “Nope not saying sorry”

 “Okay ten”

 “Michael please”

 “Nine”

 “I’m not saying sorry”

 “Eight, seven, six, five, four, three”

 “Michael”

 “Two”

 “Okay I’m sorry okay let me down”

 Michael put him down and they stared at each other before bursting out in laughter. Michael stopped and looked at Ashton and Ashton stopped laughing when he felt Michael staring at him.

 “What are you staring at” Ashton asked.

 “Someone beautiful”

Ashton looked down to the floor and blushed. Michael placed a finger under his chin and tilted Ashton’s head up. He leaned forward and placed his lips on Ashton’s. Ashton’s eyes widened with shock before closing them and wrapping his arms around his neck. Michael lifts him up and Ashton immediately wraps his legs around Michael’s waist. Michael walks forward until Ashton’s back hits a tree. Michael moves his lips down to Ashton’s neck and Ashton’s weaves his fingers through the other boy’s hair.

 “Be with me” Michael whispers against his neck before pulling away and staring into the boy’s eyes.

Ashton nods before crashing his lips into Michael’s, his new boyfriend.
