Things Changed (Mashton) ✔️

Chapter 14

Michael was led into the hospital with Ashton behind them. He went into the ambulance with him. Luke and Calum said they would meet him after they dropped Bethan home.

When Calum and Luke got there they saw Ashton waiting in the waiting room. His hands were in his hair and he was looking at his shoes.

"Ashton" Calum said

Ashton looks up and sees the two boys. His eyes were puffy and red. "Oh hey guys"

Luke sat next to Ashton "is everything okay"

Ashton shrugs his shoulders. Calum sits on the other side of Ashton "what's wrong"

"It's just hard" Ashton said "waiting to see if everything's okay. What if everything is not okay? I'm so tired of waiting"

Ashton starts to cry and Luke wraps his arms around him and Ashton leans against his shoulder.

The doctor comes in and Ashton stands up "is he okay"

The doctor nods and Ashton smiles "he's fine" the doctor says "his asleep right now, but I'm sure he will wake up soon. So you can go and see him"

Ashton nods and thanks the doctor. The doctor just smiles at him before he leaves.

"Well what you waiting for" Calum said "go and see him"

Ashton looks back at them and smile "thank you for being here"

When Ashton gets to Michael's room he was still asleep. He wasn't hooked up to anything, but a bruise was forming on his eye and his lip was cut. Ashton walks over and sits on the seat next to the bed and hold Michael's hand. He sees Michael start to stir and open his eyes "Ashton" Michael whispers.

"I'm here" Ashton replies.

Michael turns his head to see the hazel eyes he thought that he would never see again. "Can you help me up?"

Ashton helps Michael sit up and jus his hand again, he didn't bother sitting back down on the seat. Michael saw Ashton's eyes filling with tears so he opens his arms "come here"

Ashton immediately goes into Michael's arms and cries into his neck "I thought I lost you Michael" Ashton cries out.

"Well I'm still here" Michael said. Ashton squeezes tighter around his waist and Michael yelps in pain.

Ashton pulls away quickly "I'm sorry"

"It's fine really" Michael said smiling.

Michael notices a chain around Ashton's neck. He pulls the chain and suddenly sees two rings. The promise rings "you kept them"

Ashton nodded putting his hand over Michael's "I would never chuck them away"

Ashton takes the chain off and slides the rings off it. He hold one ring out to Michael "will you please take me back" Ashton asked "will you wear the promise ring"

Michael nodded and Ashton slides the ring on Michael's finger.

"Michael Gordon Clifford, I promise that nothing will come between us and I'll love you forever and always"

Ashton slides the other ring on his own finger "Wait I'm supposed to put the ring-"

"I broke the promise" Ashton said cutting Michael off.

Ashton leans forward and kisses Michael and places his hands on his boyfriend's cheeks. Michael kisses back placing his hands on top if his boyfriends.

"Oh please no PDA"

Ashton breaks the kiss and turns to see Calum and Luke by the door.

Ashton steps back "sorry guys"

Michael looked at Calum to see he was happy, probably because he was still here. But he looked at Luke and he saw tears running down his cheeks.

"Come here Luke" Michael says softly.

Luke quickly goes over to him and gets into the bed. He wraps his arms lightly around the Michael's waist and tucking his head in Michael's neck "I thought I lost you Mikey" the crying boy whimpers.

Michael wraps his arms around Luke with one hand running through his hair.

Calum stand next to Ashton "you okay now? No more problems"

"I'm okay. But there's one more problem"

Calum looks at him "will you be able to forgive her"

Ashton shrugs his shoulders before turning back to the two boys in bed. He laughs quietly when Luke calls Michael a prick for doing the fight.

Yay Michael’s okay and Mashton are back together.
