Things Changed (Mashton) ✔️

Chapter 13

When they got to the boxing ring they all waited for Ashton to get change before they all rushed inside. They were all happy when they realised that it hasn't started yet.

"Okay Ashton he's in the away changing room" Luke tells Ashton "we will wait outside"

Ashton nods and goes over to the door that says 'away' on it and opens it. He goes in and looks around before seeing Michael sitting on a bench. Looking at something. It looked like a picture; it was probably of him and Michael.

"Mikey" Ashton chokes out.

Michael looks up at Ashton and places the picture on the bench before standing up. "What are you doing here?"

"Trying to stop you" Ashton says shakily.

Ashton walks over to him and places his hands in his lover's cheeks. But Michael's eyes wouldn't meet his. "Michael baby please look at me please"

Michael's eyes met his and Ashton spoke "Angel faked cried"

"Wha- what why-why would she do that"

"She wanted me to be the old me" Ashton explained "so she fake cried to make me fall for it and sadly I did. I broke you Michael, I know I did and I'm sorry. Just don't do this please, I love you, you are my life, you keep me going"

"So you love me" Michael said smiling brightly "you never used me"

"No baby" Ashton said pecking Michael's lips "I love you"

Michael crashed his lips into Ashton's, with Ashton immediately kissing back.

"Oh god I love you" Michael breathes out as they pull apart.

Before Ashton could say anything the door open and a big muscly guy came in "it's time"

Michael looked at the guy "do I have to do it"

"You agreed son, you can't back down" he replied leaving the room.

Michael looked at Ashton, who had tears brimming his eyes. He grabbed his hand and linked their fingers before walking out of the changing room. Michael saw the man he was fighting, he was strong and Michael instantly regretted agreeing to this. He turns to Ashton, taking in the beautiful face as he might see this for the final time. He leans down and kisses him "I'll love you, forever and always" he whispers.

"Same" Ashton whimpers. He let Michael go and he walked into the ring. Calum walks to him and placed a hand on Ashton's back. The crying boy turns to him and hugs him, crying into Calum's neck.

A bell goes off which means that the match has started and Michael was doing good, giving punches from right and left. Until the guy pinned him down to the floor and punches his repeatedly, Michael tried to get up but he couldn't, he was too strong.

After about 30 punches, blood was coming out of Michael's mouth.

"Go on" he spat weakly, blood spitting everywhere "end me"

The guy, Joe raised his fist to give him one final punch. When he turned his head to see Ashton crying into Calum's neck. He couldn't do this; he couldn't end this guy's life. He gets off Michael and stands up. The crowd around the ring quiet down and start mumbling to each other.

"Ashton he's stopped" Calum said, tapping the crying boys back slightly.

Ashton let's go and quickly pushes people out if the way to get to his Michael, Luke and Calum are close behind.

He gets into the ring and kneels down by Michael's head "Michael, baby?"

Michael's eyes open and Ashton starts crying with joy.

"Ashton" Michael whispers before slowly closing his eyes.

Ashton slapped his cheeks gently "no baby open your eyes for me". Michael eyes snap back open. "That's good baby, keep your eyes on me okay"

"Ashton" Michael said weakly "I just want... You to know that you... are the best thing that has ever happened to me okay. You're the best thing"

"You're going to make it okay" Ashton whimpers wiping some blood off Michael's chin with the end of the sweater he was wearing.

Luke looks back at Joe "why did you stop"

"Because I was in his position." Joe answered him "but instead my heart was torn and I couldn't let that happen to him"

"Well thank you" Luke tells him

He shrugs his shoulders before leaving the ring. Luke kneels down next to Ashton "Bethan's rang the ambulance; it is on its way"

Ashton nodded, not taking his eyes off Michael.
