"There's some trouble brewing in Aogiri." Haise stated as soon as he entered the Chateau. Thankfully, the whole squad was already in the living room doing their homework so he didn't need to repeat himself.

"Uh oh." You muttered, looking up from the biology homework you were helping Shirazu with (along with a very frustrated Mutsuki).

"What're they planning?" Ginshi asked, completely disregarding his homework.

"That's the issue." Haise muttered as he crashed down on the couch. "We don't know."

"Is that what the meeting was for?" Saiko wondered out loud. Once Sasaki nodded, she let out an 'oh'.

"We're going to raid their base next week to prevent them from doing what ever they're planning on doing." He informed before pulling his briefcase on his lap and taking out five empty pamphlets. "It's tradition that all the investigators participating in raids like those all fill out their will. I'm not saying we're all going to die, but we're just taking precautions."

"Talk about jinxing yourself." You mutter as Haise passed out the sheets of paper. "What do we write on these?" You lifted up the paper.

"Your will. Things you want people to know before you die, and usually, people would put in a few words for their family but in our case... er... You know..."

"Yeah, family's non-existant." Ginshi darkly laughed.

"Bullshit!" You exclaimed. "We're a family! Look at us, dude! We're dysfunctional, but we're still a family!"

"(Y/N)'s right." Mutsuki smiled. "I like thinking of us as a family."

Shirazu looked at you and Urie, choking back a laugh. "I didn't know the two of you were alright with incest." He managed to say before letting out a loud guffaw.

"Shut up." Urie muttered while you cringed.

"What are you gonna write in it?" You asked. You had a major case of floating pencil yet again.

"Nothing." Urie said. You turned your desk chair around to take a look at him, sitting on your bed and watching you as you struggled to write your will. "I'm not going to die, so why would I need to write a will? You shouldn't write it either, since you're not going to die."

"I like the optimism, but still... I'd feel like shit for not following the tradition." You answered, looking back at the paper as if it would give you inspiration.

    "Come here." Urie called out.

"I don't know what you're planning, but no funny business." You muttered, getting up from your chair to sit next to him on the bed.

"I wouldn't dream of doing any 'funny business'." He stated, a shadow of a smile on his face.

"Yeah, right Mr. 'Give me ten dollars and I'll gladly embarrass both myself and (Y/N)'." You rolled your eyes.

"I can split the money, if you want."

"Five dollars is not going to heal the deep scars inside of my mind." You dramatically sighed.

"It wasn't that bad." Urie insisted. "A part of you liked it." You could practically hear his smirk.

"Is this why you wanted me to 'come here'?" You asked, about to get up.

"No, not really." He answered. "I want you to promise me something. That's why I wanted you closer. I want to make sure you're sincere."

"Oh, boy." You sighed before becoming serious. If this could calm his nerves, then fuck yeah you'd promise.

"Promise me you won't die at the raid. Promise me you'll do everything to stay alive." There was a slight pause before Kuki continued, now a tad bit more anxious. "Because you're the best thing that's ever happened to me and I don't want to let you go." His hand covered yours before giving it a light squeeze.

"I promise. I promise you that I'll survive the raid. But I need you to promise that too." You seriously said. Kuki repeated the sentence as well. It somehow made you feel better, knowing he'll try his best to survive.

But it's not like you should worry about him. The guy took down Dodgy Mother, for Pete's sake. As long as he doesn't come face-to-face with a ghoul like the Owl, he'll be alright. Oh, there's also the timer guy that he should avoid (Haise told you that the ghoul would only fight until some clock on him would ring. When it rings, he abruptly stops fighting and just leaves) and fire guy that you think someone called Tatara once? He's apparently this Chinese ghoul that originates from a clan that was eradicated by Houji's squad a while back. If Urie doesn't meet those ghouls, he should be fine.

"Aye, Kuki." You spoke, waiting until you had his full attention before you continued. "I love you." You could practically see the shock on his face when you said those three words. You needed to get those words out, because if you didn't make it through... No, don't think like that.

Kuki's hand travelled to your cheek, gently stroking it as he gently tugged your face closer to his. You complied to his acts, brushing your lips against his as his hand went from your cheek to your hair, tugging at the soft strands.

Before he could lick your bottom lip for permission to deepen the kiss, you pulled away. "Listen, we can do that stuff after we finish writing our will." You promised, earning a groan from the purple haired teen.

"Did you not listen to half of what I just said?" He asked. "You said it yourself earlier, we'll get jinxed."

"We'll get even more jinxed if we break the tradition, Urie." You sassed back. That seemed to win him over. Kuki rolled his eyes and picked up the pamphlet that was sitting a bit further on the bed.

"You're already done with your will?" Haise asked as you gave him the two pieces of paper.

"Yeah, but it was tough to pick what we'd say. I'm pretty proud of the result." You smiled.

"Oh? I'm sorry if this sounds rude, but can I see?" Your mentor curiously asked. You nodded and watched as he opened both of the wills and frowned. "But they both only say 'For the Quinx'... Please don't tell me that's your will."

"It is, and it's got a deeper meaning." You assured. "Gotta love my family." You added before walking up the stairs and stopping mid-way. "And if you dare throw those away Sassan, I'll be super mad!"
