If I believed in God, I would be thanking heavens for making the sky clouded. None of that hot ass sun burning my skin beat red. Since it is Tuesday, the beginning of the week, and since the large crowds stay only for the weekend, the tourist and guest movement was low. This is great because I can walk around the park without bumping into someone every three meters. Another plus is not having to wait in those never-ending lines for any attraction.
My first stop wasn't a dinosaur attraction, it was more of a food attraction. I was starving, and I found the perfect restaurant with one of my favorite foods, Brazilian barbecue. Sorry, but they know how to make a good grill, as well as serving a lot of it.
After eating until no end, I walked around the park, just looking around to see if anything piqued my interest. My second stop of the day was the petting and riding small dinosaurs – for the kids. My eyes widened in surprise and wonder when I first took a look at the previously extinct animals in front of me. There were only babies, making it basically harmless to the kids around them. Unless they fell on top of the children, but that's another story.
With a big smile, I walked over to the T-Rex area. The place the tourists would walk through looked like a huge fallen tree where they could step inside. A thick glass on its side made it possible for them to see outside the T-Rex den and still be safe. There were some warnings at the entrance if anyone of a weak heart is not recommended to enter.
Thankfully it there wasn't many people, so I found myself a pretty good view of the man-made pine tree forest as I glued myself to the glass. All the while trying my best to find the tyrant lizard king. My hopes were leaving me as I stood glued to the glass for over ten minutes and nothing of the dinosaur. Just when I was about to go, the sound of heavy footsteps made me stop.
I quickly turned around to see the famous Tyrannosaurus Rex walking over to the fake fallen tree trunk in curiosity. It was huge, over six meters tall and over twelve meters in length. This was a killing machine that was killed by a meteor. Not directly, but I think only that could've made such an impacting chain reaction that led them to extinction. I don't think anything would be able to end such creatures unless it came from outer space. What a scary thing space is.
Speaking of space, I was spacing out pretty good as I looked in awe at the giant reptile in front of me. Its bright yellow eyes stared back into mine, but not as a predator looks at its prey, just a curious animal trying to figure out what they are looking at.
I stared at it for a while longer before backing up. I waved my hand before walking out, clearly not expecting it to wave back. Once I found myself in the path walk, I squealed in happiness like a crazy person. This is where I will be working for months, and I'll get to see dinosaurs every day! I swirled around like a weirdo before walking off as if nothing happened. I'll be working backstage anyway, these people will never see me again.
I made just in time to see the Mosasaurus show. The massive aquatic beast would leap out of the water and eat their food. They did this because of their nature to hunt their prey close or on the surface. I sat in the no-splashing area and waited for the show. I will not get drenched, not today.
"Alright guys, he already today but let's see if he is up for some food," The presenter standing on a sort of platform speaks as a dead great white shark is moved by a crane over the water. Not five seconds later the huge aquatic reptile jumped out of the water. Everyone awed when it roared, opened its jaws, and clamped down on the dead shark. As it fell back into the water, everyone in the splash zone was drenched.
I was laughing like a crazy person at the magnificence of the show, but people were too shocked like me to notice. It was like a dream coming true. After that, I promised myself to come back here later. I walked out and noticed that the sun was starting to set. When I looked over to a door with a sign of 'Employers only' I remembered I had a card with me saying that I an employee. This way if anyone asked what I was doing in a restricted area, I would show them the card.
