The Indominus Rex and A Girl ✔️

The worker opened the door slowly looking at his surroundings for any sight of the large predator. Luckily it was nowhere in sight, so we walked in. There were small trees that had been knocked out spread throughout the ground. Large footprints also decorated the ground, leading over to the beast itself.

The T-Rex was laying on the ground breathing steadily. There were no signs of injuries or whatsoever, thankfully. Even though I don't like thinking things like this, but these creatures are worth millions of dollars, and I don't want to be responsible if they are injured in any way.

I smiled seeing the T-Rex sound asleep with his eyes closed. As we stalked closer I could see that everything was okay; his skin had normal scratches from scraping against the trees and walls, his snout covered in some blood from his previous meal, no teeth were infected or broken; he seemed perfect for the untrained eye.

Around his eyes, the scales got a little darker than they would've looked like if he was perfectly healthy. Even rough, dinosaur scales under the eye get darker from stress. The best thing to do it put some special cream and let him sleep for a while. With all the people that come in here, not inside the paddock but to the attraction, stress is inflicted on these poor animals all the time.

"He seems fine, for now. I'm going to put some of this on his, and you can stay in the lookout if he makes sudden movements; he tends to flinch when knocked out," The worker said pulling out a pot with the special cream.

I walked over to his snout and slowly put my hand on it. It felt different from Levi's scales. Even if he was a baby, his scales were hard, almost impenetrable yet smooth. The T-Rex's, on the other hand, was rough from all the bumping and nudging it has done. Maybe too much time in this sun, which is okay since when they were alive around sixty-eight million ago, and the climate was said to be hot.

"All done here," I snap out of my thoughts and walk away from the magnificent beast. "I hope I don't have to come here again and he gets better," The guys mumble, and I chuckle.

"It wasn't so bad. He looked like a grown baby sleeping," I smiled at his playful negativity.

"A baby that can kill you just by nudging its head," We laughed and exited the paddock. "Thank you for the help, even though it looked like you didn't. I never liked entering here alone so you coming here helped," He said turning to me after placing the stuff he got back on their place.

"You're welcome. I hope he gets better, thank you for helping him," He nods and walks out of the small room. I do the same sometime later after checking that the T-Rex was still sleeping.

I really wanted to see Levi, but coming here is already, probably, considered work, which I was told not to do. I hope he gets better. I remember what Dr. Wu said about Levi's aggressive behavior. I had tried to ask if I could visit his paddock just to look at him from behind the glass, but they still said no.

"Maybe I should just go around the park," I speak to myself. So for the rest of the day, I went around the park, looking at all the different dinosaurs there were. One place that I wanted to go to was the gyrosphere attraction, but again I was unable to. I have bite marks on my arm, not a broken bone!

At the end of the day I was exhausted from all the walking and heat, so a cold shower and my comfy bed were more than a great idea. So here I was, laying in my bed with my hair still wet and the air conditioner on twenty degrees Celsius. I know if I continue like this I will get sick, but I'm already unable to work so what's new.

I was right now in the state where you just feel your body melt into the softness of the bed, like ice in a hot pan. Sorry, I'm not that good with analogies... moving on. I wanted to call my brother but around this time he is most likely working, so I better leave him undisturbed.

My eyes start to betray me as they slowly closed, begging for my body to shut down. And that's what I did.

"I'm free motherfuckers!" I woke up happy as ever after being all those days unable to work and only walk around under the blazing sun; not that it wasn't fun as well, but work is better. I miss my baby! My little baby that could've killed me if he wanted to.

The bite mark has healed, and I could take off the bandages and continue my work once again. I was more than excited to see Levi; I really missed him. Even if I had only worked with him for a few days, I've grown attached to him.

Being quick as I had even been I changed from my almost nonexistent pajamas, since they were so thin because of the heat even with AC, into my work clothes and walked out of my room.

"At least one of us seem happy to work," I look to Owen who spoke teasingly. I was sitting down with him and Barry eating breakfast, which was delicious for some reason.

"Being unable to do shit for a whole week makes you happy when you do something different," I comment rolling my eyes.

"After your work you can come and check the Raptors, I think they will like the extra company," Barry says.

"I mean, who wouldn't like someone like me as company in exchange for this boring ass," I slap lightly on Owen's shoulder. He playfully glared at me and grabbed one of my toasts, taking a huge bite out of it. "That my food!"

After my little fight with Owen where I stole some of his food since he stole mine, no one touches my food, I exited the car and walked inside the Indominus enclosure. Not going to lie but I am a bit nervous; what if they hurt Levi? What if the scientists wanted to do more tests on him without taking consideration he might get stressed? What if he doesn't remember me?

"Sorry miss, but no one is allowed to go inside without authorization," A guard of some sorts stops me from entering the room that connects to the inside of the paddock.

"And why is that?" I raise my eyebrow. Before people were allowed inside but under surveillance or someone looking after them.

"The asset has been reported to have aggressive behavior due to the noise caused by those who walk inside," That doesn't make any sense.

"Well, I work here. I'm the asset's trainer. So don't mind me," I showed him my card and walked passed him. Once entering the room, I noticed there was nothing that could've made noise loud enough to go through the thick walls.

I take a deep breath and prepare myself as I stared at the locked door in front of me. On the other side was the dinosaur I grew attached too who will soon become the top predator Earth ever had just so this park could make more money.

"Ready or not here I come," With that, I opened the door and let the sunlight enter the room. The heavy door closed behind me, making a loud sound. My heart hammered against my chest in anticipation and slight fear. "Levi, mommy's here."

Sorry again if it sucks. I tried really hard to make it good, but I've been sleeping less than I normally do (less than when I had school) for some reason.

What do guys think will happen? Will Levi recognize his 'mommy' or not?
