My eyes and ears were in full alert as I concentrated in my surrounding for any movement or sound. I had to be careful not to startle or scare Levi more than he must be. There was no movement coming from my line of vision or sounds or leaves rustling, making me more nervous.
"Come out boy. I'm not going to hurt you," I speak loudly, close to shouting, to the seemingly empty enclosure. My head snaps to my right when I hear a low growl coming from that direction. I squint my eyes and see white scales moving behind the green bushes. "Levi, is that you?"
The low growling turns to a louder hissing, and the leaves rustle more. My eyes widen when the one behind the bushes reveals themselves. There he stood almost two meters tall from head to toe, five meters from snout to tail, his eyes red, the spikes that grew from his neck down to his back were more prominent, his teeth grew longer as well as his claws. Even though he still had four meters left to grow in height, he still looked very dangerous.
His lips were curled back as he hissed and growled; his front arms were touching the ground as he stood in a crouched, crawling position. To say that I was scared would be a fat lie. He may be thinking I'm another scientist sent to do scientific things with him. I really don't know what they do, all I've ever done was handle and feed reptiles and big birds.
"It's me boy, no need to worry. I'm not going to hurt you," I say in a soft voice, not moving from my place. Predators tend to go after things that run away from them, so it's best to stay still and not encourage a chase that would end up with me getting hurt, again.
My heart rammed against my ribs as he slowly made his way closer to me, like a lion ambushing a zebra. Before I could react, he pounced on me, making my back hit the ground. I thought he was going to kill me, but I was surprised when he began licking my face like a happy puppy.
"Woah there, boy!" I laughed as he continued to lick my face, neck, shoulders, arms, everywhere he could find skin. Weirdly enough I would casually grab bloodied meat but hated when I touched saliva, so this was a small nightmare.
After a lot of struggling I managed to get out from under Levi's body. He stood there staring at me with his tail swishing from side to side, still very happy. I chuckled at his silly posture as he was supposed to look like the top predator on the park. I took out a cloth I had inside one of my pockets and cleaned off the saliva all over my body, at least as much as I could. Once I was finished the cloth became a dirty wet mess.
"I missed you too Levi," I patted his nose. His body relaxed to my touch and leaned against my hand. "You look so big," I placed my other hand on his snout and carefully turned his nose from side to side to look better at him. If he wanted he could easily rip my head off with just one chomp.
He purrs in response to the praising and leans his forehead against mine. I giggled in response to his cute behavior and planted a kiss on his forehead.
"Do you want to play my big boy?" I stepped back and let him stand normally. He nodded his head and began circling me. "Go get a branch for mommy to through top you," He stopped walking around me and darted between the trees.
A few moments later he came back with a big branch, bigger than I think I could lift. I managed to break it into a smaller branch and threw it as far as I could. Like the desperate animal in need to something to chase, Levi took off after it as fast as he could, almost tripping in his way.
He came back shortly after but with another big branch, completely different from the one I just threw him. I shook my head in disbelief and grabbed another small branch I had broken off. I continued to throw things to Levi as well as run around playing catch until my stomach growled as loud as the dinosaur I was with.
"I have to go now. But I'll come back as soon as I'm done eating," I say trying to get his claw off my shirt without ripping it. He was being so stubborn about not letting me leave but it's not his fault, he hasn't seen me for a week. "I promise I'll come back. The faster you let me go, the faster I can come back so we can play," He groans in annoyance but reluctantly lets me go. "Thank you."
I quickly walked to the room that had food in store for the workers of the enclosure if they want a quick snack. There were granola bars, fruits, sandwiches, nothing close to a good, complete lunch with lots of meat, I love meat, but it was food.
I stuffed my face with as much chocolate and strawberry bars as I could as well as a salad sandwich, probably looked like a pig. Thankfully barely anyone was inside any of the rooms except for the occasional security.
Around five minutes of eating as fast as I've eaten, consequently having pain in my chest, I walked back to the door that leads to the inside of the paddock. As I was expecting, Levi was lying down next to the door with his eyes closed.
He looks very cute, for a large reptile. I always had to remind myself that he is s predator designed, not born but bred. He was alone in this world, with no other animal to relate, excluding the ones he has very similar physical and behavioral characteristics.
The sound from the heavy metal door woke him up, making him raise his head and look at me with a sleepy expression. I chuckled and patted his head. He had his back legs tucked next to him and his front arms crossed in front of him. (The picture above)
"You tired already?" I chuckled as he nodded his head and curled his tail around his body, slightly touching my ankles. "Want me to stay with you?" He puffed air in response and stood up. Because he was laying down, I completely forgot how big he had grown in this past days.
I followed him to his water source where he began drinking from. This caused me to remember I hadn't fed him all day, so he must be hungry. I grabbed the radio from my waist and synced with the people that took care of feeding.
Soon after a crane came down with a large piece of cow rib. Levi heard the mechanical noise and turned away from the water to see his food coming down. He screeched in happiness before jumping and biting down on the meat before it even touched the ground.
He ate it as his life depended on it, slightly scaring me at the thought of him angry and turning to me for food if I ever forgot to feed him. I stood around five meters away from him so he wouldn't become aggressive with someone close to his food like most animals do.
He noticed my distance and stopped eating to turn his head to the side in confusion as he stared at me. I just stood there not knowing what to do but watch. He then broke off a rib covered in meat and brought to my direction, laying on the floor in front of me.
I was shocked that he was giving me some of his food instead of eating it. I nervously grabbed it and brought it back to the pile of bones and flesh.
"It's okay boy; you can have it. I already ate," His eyes narrowed at my direction before he growled, which sounded like grumbling as if he was complaining to himself and turned back to eat his food. I stood next to him at patted his muscular legs. "You are such a confusing dinosaur."

What a fast update am I right?
He did recognize her, of course he would.
I just wanted to say that today is being a very hot day here where I live. The temperature at the moment that I'm posting is 29 Celsius, which is kind of hot for me at least. Earlier it was 30, and I don't know why didn't die then. And the worst thing is that I have a nice cool (cold) pool and I'm too lazy to enter it.
