The Indominus Rex and A Girl ✔️

I with my phone in hands waited for my brother to pick up. After naming the Indominus, I made sure he was healthy and left the lab, letting the more experienced staff deal with the newborn dinosaurs. My next stop was the raptor cage, where Owen was working as usual, then called my brother.

"Hey, sis. What's up? You didn't go inside any dinosaur cage right?" He began in a teasing tone then changed to a serious one.

"No, I didn't, I'm perfectly fine. But I have to tell you something. I can't go into much detail, but I'm working with a new dinosaur!" I squealed in happiness. Dr. Wu said that I could tell my brother about it, not the part Levi and Misty are an Indominus Rex, a newly designed hybrid, or what he looked like. All of that will remain confidential until their release a couple of months from now.

"Wow. Did they find a new species?"

"No. I can't tell you much more than that. But he is a carnivore, a baby, and I named him Levi," I smiled proudly as I spoke.

"You do like that anime guy. Poor dinosaur, hope he doesn't bite off your fingers because of that name," He joked.

"For your information, he liked it very much," I spoke in a matter of fact tone.

"How do you know if a dinosaur likes a name or not?"

"You don't but he super intelligent so I know he liked it-"

"Hey, Beast! Who are you talking to?" I turn around to face Owen who cut my sentence.

"My brother," I smiled. "Want to catch up to him?" He nodded, so I handed him my phone. I then walked over to the inside gate of the raptor cage, finding all of them secured in a small, slim compartment with metallic muzzle around their head. "Oh look at you. I hope this isn't too uncomfortable to you guys," My feet take me closer to Blue who was screeching rather loudly as if to catch my attention. "Hey, there boy, no need to be loud."

I chuckled when he stopped immediately with my proximity.

"Here is your phone," Owen spoke from behind me, with my phone in his hand. "You can touch him you know. They can't really move when they are like this. I mean, they can, but they can't bite," To show me that I could just that, he stretched his hand and petted Blue's cheek.

He looked relaxed as Owen petted him. I stretched my hand and touched his other cheek with a feather-like touch. As soon as my soft hand went in contact with his rough scales, he tried to break free the muzzle and have more contact, scaring the hell out of me for a second.

"Woah, Blue, calm down boy," Owen said in a commanding voice, but Blue only lessened his struggle. "I think you should step away. It's not your fault, but I don't want both of you getting hurt," I nod, understanding, and to a step back.

"Ms. Evans are you there? Do you copy?" I hear a voice coming through the radio I am required to carry. All workers have one in case they needed to communicate but were in a remote part of the park. It's much better than relying on phone signals.

"Yeah, I'm here at the raptor enclosure, copy," I say back into the radio, walking out where the Raptors were.

"Please come to the Indominus enclosure as soon as possible," The person says.

"Hey, Owen, I gotta go," I wave my hand walking back to the car I drove here. He waved back as I got inside the vehicle, then I drove off. For some reason, which I think is reasonable, the Indominus enclosure was on the Northside of the island (I'll make sure if this is the right place after I watch the movie again.), very far from the other attractions. Because of his expected size, it was the safest option.
