Chapter 27 - It's Okay . . .

Note: If you guys forgot about what Mayumi looked like, then heres a description;

Mayumi has her right eye covered which reveals her yellow eye on the left. In school, she wears her hair in two high pigtails and looks like a doll. Her hair colour is a soft purple colour, but in the night it looks dull red. She eats almost every minute of her life and doesn't gain weight. She cares a lot of animals and people, she's smart, kind, honest, really emotional and at the same time mysterious. She was also heartbroken until she met Gaara, I don't want to explain the whole story so read Chapter 17!

Sakura's POV

Words cannot express how much fun I had last night, my face is probably pink from thinking about it too much. Me and Sasuke are still in his plane, we still have 10 minutes left until we land. I suddenly felt a hand on my forehead.

"Are you getting a fever?" I looked over at Sasuke who was the one touching my forehead.

"N-no" I answered.

"hn" He then removed his hand and continued to stare out the window. Minutes later, the plane landed and I stretched my arms as we exited through the door. I looked on my watch, it's 2:30 at noon. Sasuke took me to our house and I immediately watched t.v. by the time we arrived. He just went straight to the kitchen and ate a tomato.

I changed into different clothes, kissed Sasuke goodbye and got into Ino's car. I sat in the back with Hinata and we drove off to the mall. We were the first ones to arrive, so we waited for Mayumi, Temari and Yuffie to arrive. We all just chatted until everyone arrived.

First, we went over to Starbucks and then went to Ino's store. The prom was coming soon, so we all talked about our dresses. Ino and me drew the designs of our dresses, they looked amazing. After that, we talked about random stuff. We went to almost every store in the mall, we eventually got some clothes for Mayumi.

Mayumi's POV

*The Next Day*

Oh gosh! What am I gonna do? I'm sweating like crazy! I haven't been on a date before and I can't believe I'm actually dating Gaara. I already took a shower and now, here I am wearing girly clothes that the girls bought me. I'm wearing a dark red sweater that's a bit oversized, under it I'm wearing a black tank top and a black skirt. For my feet, I'm wearing high thigh socks and converse boots.

I suddenly hear the door bell ring, I take a deep breath and open the door slowly. Gaara is standing there in his casual clothing, I look at him and he looks at me. He's staring at me, he's staring at me! OMG! "I know, alright I look different, I just wanted to wear something different" I said breaking the silence.

"You look really cute, you know" He said as his face went pink.

We both headed to the place of our date. The place was amazing, it had a nice garden and there was a picnic set up in the middle. Wow, never knew he was romantic. We both sat down and talked so much.

"Mayumi" He said.

"Hm?"

"I know it's rude for me to ask but what happened to your eye?" I was shocked at first when he asked this question, but he deserves to know.

"I got this eye ever since I was born, I never show it  because I'm scared they will be scared" I hope that when he see's my eye, he won't be scared. "You promise you won't be scared"

"Yes, I promise" He said.

"I think it's best if you remove the patch, that way I won't be scared" He nodded. I closed by eyes and felt him remove my eye patch.

Gaara's POV

She closed her eyes waiting for me to remove her eye patch. Guess she actually meant what she said about being scared. I took off her eye patch and she opened her eyes. I was standing there, staring at her face. Her right eye is a purple colour that fades to green, it's unsual but it suits her.

I smiled, she seemed shocked at first. I brushed her hair with my hand and made her face move closer to mine. I smirked. "Those eyes suit you" Our heads were now touching. "You know, beauty comes from the heart and it reflects in your eyes. Your face isn't a mask, from now on don't cover it. Your beautiful".

Mayumi's POV

". . . Your beautiful" He then kissed me softly, then removed his lips from mine but our heads were still touching. I started crying, I never thought of myself as beautiful. I felt his hands wipe my tears away "Still emotional as always".

"Sorry, nobody ever said I was beautiful and meant it" I said as I sobbed. I stopped crying by the time he finished collecting my last tear.

"I love you" He said.

"I love you" I said back. I'm not sure who kissed who this time but this a moment I will never forget.

~ Time Skip ~

My father was going to be away for a month, I hardly see him. I let Gaara stay at my house, he said it was because his brother and his girlfriend was going to be there. It was just us two in the house, alone. I'm sitting on my bed in my room blushing. I shake my head and changed into my pyjamas, it was just shorts and a casual tee.

I got out of the room and saw Gaara watching t.v. I went to the kitchen to make some food, then I went to the living room and watched t.v. with Gaara. I sat next to him, after a while he grabbed my waist and brought me to him. I felt his chest, even though my back was facing him. "You know we are a couple, we should at least start acting like one" He whispered closely in my ear. I was blushing like crazy.

I nodded my head and I felt him smirk. Who knew he could get seductive? For some reason I actually like it. Wow, I really need to shut up, don't I?

Gaara's POV

Mayumi fell asleep after 10 minutes, it's quite early to sleep but I carried her (bridal style)  to her room. I laid her carefully on the bed, I sat nect to her and rested my back on the headboard. I couldn't help staring at her. She really is beautiful.

I looked at the window from the bed and saw Kankuro and his girlfriend, I sweatdropped, good thing I stayed here. I felt arms around my waist, I looked over at Mayumi who was still asleep but surprisingly her arms were the arms that surrounded me. They were warm, I smiled and brushed her hair with my fingers. The arms started to tighten.

"Gaara, please don't leave" She sleeptalked. I looked closely at her face, she was crying. I stood there with my mouth open. She really was lonely before, from now on, I will always be there for her.

"No, no, I don't want to be alone again! Please don't leave!" I brushed her hair with my fingers again.

"It's okay" I mumbled softly. She suddenly woke up and stared at me. She suddenly hugged me.

"Thank goodness! You didn't leave me" She cried in my chest. I rubbed her back telling her it's okay. I noticed our postion, she was sitting on top of me, her legs were around my waist and her arms were around my neck. She looked up and our noses touched, she kissed me and I accepted. She tasted good. I moved to her neck and heard her moan.

I pushed her to the bed, I couldn't help it. Now, I was on top of her, she smiled. "I'm glad" she said "I'm glad you care about me" Now I smiled, I moved closer. "You promise you won't leave me" She said.

"I promise" I smirked and kissed her quickly. "And there's my proof"

Minutes later, our clothes were off. I brushed her hair behind her ear. "I love you" I said as she smiled. "I love you" She said. We both kissed and then fell asleep.
