After I ate dinner with Kala and was back in my room, Padme called me on my com link."Hello?" I answered Padme

"I've think I found Kala's parents." Padme tells me. "They told me that 16 years ago, the Jedi took their daughter, to start training as a Jedi when she was only 6 months old."

"Are you absolutely positive that those are her parents?" I asked Padme. "They could be lying to you."

"That's why I'll need you to come back to Naboo." Padme tells me. "You can sense when someone is lying or not, right?"

"Yes." I told Padme. "Master Yoda taught me how to sense their emotions, so I can tell if they're lying."

"Alright." Padme tells me.

"Wait...!" I told Padme. "I can't just up and come to Naboo all of a sudden."

"Which is why I'm throwing a ball to celebrate our taking back of Naboo from the Trade Federation." Padme assures me.

"We over took the planet back over 2 weeks ago, Padme." I told her.

"Balls take longer than a week to plan for." Padme tells me. "The parade happened the day after and didn't take that long to prepare for. For a ball, you haft to plan who's coming, how much food you'll need, what kind of food to serve, then you'll need to pick out where and when to do it. There is a whole lot of preparation to be done, you'll get the invite tomorrow."

"Alright." I told Padme before I hung up my com link.

Tomorrow, around noon, I was called up to go to the council's chambers. At first I was taken aback by this as I wondered what I did wrong, but then I remembered that Padme told me last night that the invite would've came sometime today. As I got to the council's chambers, I opened up the door and walked in.

"Padawan Amidala, know why we called you up here, do you?" Yoda asks me.

"I'm pretty sure I do but I'm not certain if it's that reason." I answered Master Yoda.

"What do you think it is then?" Master Windu asked me, curiously.

"Last night my sister called me and told me that she was planning to throw a ball to celebrate our taking back of the planet." I told the council.

"What was happening, it seems you've known before us." Yoda tells me.

"Your sister sent you some invitations to the ball." Master Windu tells me.

"Invitations?" I asked him. "As in more than one?"

"Know that, it seems you didn't." Yoda says.

"Yes, you have a plus one with your invite." Master Windu tells me. I then watched as two invites floated through the air, towards me. I took the two invites out of the air and read them in my hand. One says, 'Nova Amidala, you are invited to Naboo's ball to celebrate the taking back of the planet from the Trade Federation.' The other invite says basically the same thing except it's addressed to, 'Nova Amidala's plus one.'

"Dismissed, you are Padawan Amidala." Yoda tells me his usual way of saying, 'you may go, we no longer need your presence.'

As I left the room, I'm pretty sure that Padme wants me to invite Kala to go with me. As I started to leave the room, I turned back around to face the council. "Master's, if I may...?" I asked them. When no one protested me speaking I continued, "I already have in mind who I want to bring with me."

"Who is it?" Master Windu asked me.

"I would like to bring Padawan Kala Kora with me to Naboo." I told them.

The room was silent until Master Yoda spoke, "Think about that, we will. Contact this Padawan's Master, we must." With that said and done, I left the room, shutting the door behind me.

When I was outside in the hallway, I pulled out my com link and told Kala to meet me in our usual training area that's on one of the outside platforms on the temple. When I got there, I only had to wait about half an hour before Kala got there.

"Sorry about making you wait." Kala told me. "My master was giving me a lesson on mediation."

"No need to apologize." I told Kala. "I know that those lessons can be quiet long, I wasn't waiting but for about half an hour."

"Any reasons in particular about why you dragged me out here?" Kala asked me. Without saying anything, I held up the invites that my sister sent here for me, making sure that Kala could see them clearly. "Your sister invited you to a ball, and the council is letting you go...right?"

"They're the ones that gave them to me in the first place." I told her. "Plus my sister told me last night that she was throwing a ball. What I didn't know was that she had given me a plus one on my invite."

"So, who are you inviting?" Kala asked me.

"I asked the council if I could ask you but they said that they would think about it and contact your master." I told Kala.

"I hope he lets me go." Kala tells me. "I never really get to do anything fun. Wait, if I get to go, would I meet the Queen?"

"Yes, you would meet my sister." I told her. "As there's really nowhere for me to stay on Naboo except for the palace."

"We're going to stay in the Royal Palace?" Kala asked me.

"If you can go, then yes we are." I told Kala. "It's worth having friends, isn't it?"

"You're right about that." Kala tells me. "I'm glad we're friends."

That's the first time she's called us friends, no matter how much I insisted we were friends. I thought to myself.

At the face I must've made, Kala asks, "what is it?"

"That was the first time you called us friends." I told her.

"I...I guess that was." Kala says as a smile spreads across her face. Then she starts laughing.

"What is it?" I asked her, wondering why she was laughing.

"Because it's funny." Kala tells me. "After we had first met, I avoided and ran away from you. Then now your inviting me to your sisters party. What great friends we may be."

"It's not just a party that I invited you too." I quietly told Kala.

"What is it?" Kala asked me.

"I think my sister found your parents." I admitted to Kala. How will she take this? I asked myself. I guess I'll find out now.
