I woke up in a room with dim light. I blinked twice to let everything come into focus. The room wasn't that large, it was square and cold. My eyes landed on two other people in the room. Malia, asleep in one corner, and Derek, awake in the other.

I rushed to get up, but was stopped by the chains encasing my wrists and feet. I fell back with a 'plop' and grunted in annoyance when Derek laughed at me. "Are you alright?" I asked, trying to make myself comfortable on the cold ground. "Yeah," he replied, rubbing his arm."When we got here they did a thing that can heal a werewolf when they're shot with wolfsbane." He said, not going in to much detail. Wolfsbane was like a poisonous toxin to werewolves, it could kill them, slowly and painfully. I read that earlier today in one of the books. Was that even today?

"How long have you been awake?" I questioned Had it been nearly a day? Or had it only been an hour? I couldn't tell. "About two hours," He replied,"but I was out for a bit before that so I'd say it close to midnight now." Derek said, answering my unasked question.

I tried to think over what had happened. I had been dragged off through some halls and doors (that place was huge, what the hell did they need all the space for?) and then I felt a syringe pierce my neck and I blacked out. I seem to black out a lot.

"Do you know who it was that took us?" I questioned again. A look of pain crossed his eyes before he answered. "It was a group of hunters. They come from a family. The guy that took us is like their leader. His name is Gerard."

"Do you know why he took us?" I asked. "Do you ever stop asking questions?!" He snapped. I shut up. I looked at the ground and started playing with the dirt, a silence passing over us.

I kept looking over at Derek. I couldn't help admiring his features, his chiselled jaw, his perfectly-shaven stubble, his body that showed obvious signs of abs and muscle because of the tight T-shirt. He was the epitome of handsome, and I wanted it. There was no denying it, I was attracted to Derek Hale, the guy who will almost definitely end up killing me. Well that was an excuse to make my time worth it right?

Oh god why am I even thinking about that? I probably won't even make it out of here alive.

A while had passed, and I almost thought Derek had gone to sleep until I heard him grunt in pain.

"Are you okay?" I asked, hating that I couldn't go over and sit beside him or at least do something.

"It's the full moon tonight Stiles." He said sharply. I suddenly became scared. I was trapped in a room with two werewolves on a full moon, there was no way that this could end well.

"You're trying to fight it aren't you?" I asked, inching slightly closer, as much as the chains would allow. "Mmhmm." He winced, obviously getting harder to bear by the second. "I'm usually able to.. control it.." He muttered in between grunts. "But because I can't see the moon it's like the wolf inside me is physically clawing to get out." He said, almost sadly.

"Derek, why are you fighting it? If you turn you might be able to get out of the chains." I suggested. "I don't want to hurt you Stiles," he said looking at me directly in my eyes. I knew what he meant. It was like the Hulk, I supposed, once The Other Guy comes out, he's almost impossible to control. But I trusted Derek, at least I hoped I did.

"Derek, if there's any chance of us getting out of here, you're going to have to change." I told him sternly.

"The cuffs are covered in wolfsbane, if I rub off them too much it might get in. And I won't let myself hurt you." He said, avoiding the real problem. I ignored how incredible it was that he would rather go through that pain than to risk hurting me and pushed on. "Derek my safety is not our main priority right now, and you're just saying that as an excuse, you know it won't affect you that badly." I tried again. He grunted again. "Derek, let it out." I said finally, in a low whisper.
