It's the end of the day and Hope and I were walking around town getting something to eat and doing some light shopping. 

As Hope got us some smoothies I looked at some jewelry on a kiosk in this small shop. As I looked at some necklaces I felt as if someone was watching me. But when I turned around no one was there. I continued to have this feeling as Hope and I shopped and at one point I turned ever so slightly and caught a glimpse of a man looking at me. I could tell he was a vampire from the way he carried himself. As I tried to analyze him and figure out if he was a threat he flashed away. 

It took me a minute before I shrugged it off and bought the bracelet I was looking at.
After I bought the bracelet I met back up with Hope. She handed me my mango smoothie and we walked to a few more shops before we made our way home. 

"Hey, you've been acting weird since you went to the jewelry shop. What's wrong?" Hope asked as we practiced some spells form our homework.
"Huh? No, I'm fine" I lied and continued my spell
"Monty you're my best friend..no my sister and I know you. And you're not okay" She said closing her spellbook before slamming mine shut causing me to jump back slightly.
"Hope why'd you do that?!" I asked trying to find my page again. But she closed my book once more.
"Look at me and tell me what's going on Montreal," she said
I sighed looking over at her
"I kept feeling someone watching me but when I turned around no one was there. The one time I turned a little slower I caught a guy staring at me. I didn't get a good look at his face." I explained and watched as Hope thought of what I was told her.
"We should tell Aunt Katherine and Caroline," She said
"No if we tell my mom she'll be all overprotective" I argued
"She's your mom that's what she's supposed to do" She argued back.

Before I can argue back my mom walked in.

"What am I supposed to do?" She asked as Aunt Caroline appeared behind her
Before I could make up a lie Hope explained everything.
"Montreal why wouldn't you tell us?" Care asked me
"I just didn't want you guys to worry," I said looking down at my lap
Mom sighed and walked up to me kneeling in front of me and lifting my chin.
"Hey look at me," she said softly
I slowly looked back up at her.
"I'm not mad I just don't want anything bad to happen to you. I'm your mom and You are my everything and I don't want to lose you." She explained to me
I smiled and hugged her
"I'm sorry," I say as I hug her back
"Don't be" She said pulling away 

Aunt Care then spoke up.

"I'll have Alaric look for any suspicious characters," she said
"Okay, that's good. And girls if either of you sees him again try and get a good look at him and call us immediately" Mom said and we both nodded
They then smiled at us and told us to go to bed since we had a lot of tests tomorrow. But as I tried to fall asleep I couldn't help but think about the man again...
