"You told him that you were brothers?"

I gripped the sides of my locker, laughing uncontrollably as Scott waited impatiently for the ridicule to end. The stupid junior had quoted Derek! No wonder Liam hadn't listened! My face was turning red from the lack of air and my stomach ached from the continuous laughter. Tears welled up in my eyes and Scott let out a helpless noise. "I-I didn't know what to say!"

"'Liam,'" I mocked him in an absurdly low voice, my hands on my hips with my chest puffed out. "'We're brothers, now.'"

"Very funny," Scott deadpanned. "Now will you plea-"

"'The bite is a gift!'"

"Shut up!" he growled. I snapped my mouth shut and silenced my guffaws, a grin tugging at the corner of my lips. He took in a deep, calming breath. "I need your help with something-"

"That's a shocker-"

"-and it involves Liam," he informed me. I tilted my head to the side.

"I'm listening, go on."

"You're in his English class, right?" I nodded. "I need you to try and convince him that he needs our help. He didn't want to listen to us, so maybe he'll listen to you."

I rose an eyebrow in disbelief. "Scott, you do realize I was the one who helped duct-tape him to a chair. He's not gonna trust me more than you."

"Please?"

I sighed. "I'll try. I can't make any promises." I shut my locker, clapping Scott on the shoulder. "I need to get to class, alright? I'll try."

He nodded, relief obviously shown on his features. "Thank you."

The plan to talk to Liam wasn't going too well.

Mrs. Remaley had been in the classroom when I entered English (which was our only class together) and had just been about ready to start class when I came in, forcing me to sit down in my seat. But, Maya was absent and we were doing independent classwork, which left me able to think up a plan without distractions.

I could corner him during lunch. Or maybe right after class, I could drag him into the girl's bathroom. I cringed at that one. That'd be really weird and it'd probably seem like I wanted to make out with him or something. You sort of do. I groaned quietly.

Shut up.

"I need to use the bathroom."

I jerked my head up off the desk as Liam's voice rang throughout the silent classroom. Mrs. Remaley nodded her head, motioning towards the door. I grinned as he left the room, waited 30 seconds or so before raising my hand and smoothing out my expression.

"What?" Mrs. Remaley snapped. I frowned. What did I do?

"Bathroom?"

She sighed. "Quickly, Miss Argent."

I nodded, getting up and walking briskly towards the door. I shut it with a quiet click, and ran towards the boys bathroom.

I caught him right as he came out, and I smiled happily. He groaned, turning to go back in. I caught him by the sleeve. "Oh, no, we're gonna talk, right now."

"I don't want to talk," Liam snapped. I rolled my eyes.

"Of course you do!" I chirped, dragging him towards the set of lockers and pushing him against them gently. I backed up to give the frustrated teen some space. "Now, you're going to stay there while I explain what's happening to you-"
