I hated him (Travis x Dante)

~Dante P.O.V~

"Mom I don't think I can come back home this year, I don't feel like I can leave work," I said, on the phone with my mom. 

"Sure Dante, you have no work, your boss said you have a vacation, why don't you want to see your mom before she dies?" She asked, no don't bring in the sympathy. 

"No I want to see you mom and of course Gene but I don't think I can book a plane ticket," I said. I don't want to go back home for Christmas, I left that dead town when I could. I can't go back there and see his face with her, I deserve him, he is my everything and having my chest ripped out of my chest by them being together. 

"Plz baby, I miss you" She started crying. No, not the mom tears. 

"Mom please you are making this hard, fine I'll come" I groaned I'm going to regret this. I'm going back home. 

"Yay thank you, baby, I'll see you Sunday," She said hanging up. Am I really going back to that place? Can I really face him again with them being together? What if they got married and are happy? It's fine Travis never wanted to stay in that town, but what if his plans changed? No, I am going to see my family, it's been 5 years and I need to face them. I got out of bed and went to my closet to pack. I'm going to regret this, aren't I?

~Travis P.O.V~

It was almost Christmas time, I love when the holidays come around, the whole town decorates and everyone is in the jolly mood. I use to want to leave this town, that was before Dante left without me. Everything changed after that one night. 

~Flashback~ 

It was Aphmau's Christmas party, Sylvana had it every year. She decided that she wanted her baby to have all her friends so we were all invited. She invited me, Katelyn, KC, Lucinda, Cadenza, Garroth, Laurence and Dante. I've had a crush on Dante at the time and I was going to tell him that night. We were playing games and eating while drinking. Sylvana always has booze at her parties. I was talking with the boys in the kitchen when I saw Dante outside, he was alone but not for long. 

"So I told her that I wasn't interested," Laurence said. I wasn't really paying attention. 

"Hey guys I'm going to see Dante," I said walking away. Okay, it's now or never Travis, just go out there and tell him how you feel. I walked over to the backyard door. My face dropped when I saw it, Dante was kissing Nicole. I knew she liked him but Dante never showed an interest in her so why are they kissing? They broke the kiss when Dante saw me. 

"Travis," He said, I bolted, I can't believe I thought he would like me back. I'm so glad I didn't confess to him. I ran into the house and saw Katelyn. 

"Katelyn, can you do me a favor?" I asked her. 

"What do you need Travis?" She asked, I know she likes Cadenza and I don't think of her as more than a friend but I can't let Dante know how sad I am.  

"Can I kiss you, I know we are just friends, but I just caught Dante kissing Nicole and I need to make him think that everything is fine?" I said, Katelyn knows about my crush. 

"Fine, I want to make Cadenza jealous anyway, she has been flirting with Garroth" She agreed to let me kiss her. I breathe and we both leaned in to kiss each other. While we were kissing I saw Dante, he was staring at us looking hurt while Nicole had her arms wrapped around him. I hope he's happy with her, he broke my heart, I hate him. 

~Back to present~

After that day, Dante left town, I never saw him and it's been 5 years. I hoped every year that he would come back because despite everything that happened I miss him. I wonder if he thinks of me? I wonder if he misses me? What if he's married or still with Nicole? She left town right after him what if they got back together? 5 years he could be married and have kids, I hope he's single because I really wish I told him back then, maybe we would be together and he wouldn't have left. 

"Travis? are you okay?" Katelyn asked me. I was eating lunch with Katelyn because Cadenza was working and we wanted to catch up. 

"I was just thinking about Dante, do you think he misses me?" I asked. she looked at me with sad eyes. 

"Travis I need to tell you this, Nicole told me," She said. I growled at her name. I hate that woman with every fiber in my bones. 

"What does she want now, wants to rub it in my face that she has my man," I said, Katelyn laughed.

"You're such a baby but no she told me that she is sorry about everything and that she kissed Dante, he didn't even kiss her back" She explained. Really?!

"What does that mean?" I asked her. 

"Dante never liked Nicole, she knew you did and wanted you to suffer, I think Dante likes you" She confirmed. 

"That can't be true, Dante would never love me," I said. How could he ever like me, I'm nothing, he is perfect and I am nothing. 

"Sweety you are an amazing person, if Dante doesn't like you then that is his loss because you are everything people want," she said. Katelyn is the best friend you could ask for. 

"Hey guess what I heard?" She said. 

"What?" I wasn't really interested but maybe it will cheer me up.

"I heard from KC, who heard from, Lucinda who heard from Zenix that heard from Sasha who heard from Gene that Dante will be coming home for Christmas" She explained. Okay, she could have said she heard from someone, not name the whole list. But what, Dante is coming back home?

"She convinced him?" I said. I can't believe after 5 years she has convinced him. Omg Dante will be here, I will see him. Will he want to see me? 

"Yes finally, Dante will come home, and maybe you will get lucky this Christmas" She wiggled her brows. 

"Sure like that will ever happen" I smiled, This is the best Christmas ever, Dante is coming back, maybe my chance isn't over. I'm so excited. 

Hello lovelies, My sister requested a boy x boy and wanted a Dante x Travis after the whole Bloopers episodes. So here it is, it's like every Christmas movie where the best friend ends up together.
