I hated him (Travis x Dante)

~Dante P.O.V~

The plane just landed, I was back in my hometown. I forgot how this place decorates for Christmas, I forgot how lively this place is. There was snow here, in California there wasn't snow so this is a change. I arrived at the gate waiting for my mom, she said she was picking me up. 

"Ahh is that my baby" I heard her voice, yay thank you, mom, for embarrassing me in public. 

"Hey mom, It's been a long time seeing you," I said hugging her, I've missed her so much. 

"I missed you so much baby, come on everyone is excited to see you," She said grabbing my bags. I wonder how everyone is doing? We left the airport and went to my old childhood home, I wonder if Gene still lives with her. We walked in to see my brother and Sasha. 

"Welcome home bro" Gene walked up to me. I guess he still lives here. 

"Yea I'm happy to be back, so do you still live with mom?" I asked him, Sasha came over. 

"Heh that's exactly what we were just arguing about, so Gene when are we going to leave this house?" She asked, We? So he is with Sasha. 

"I don't need this nagging from you again, I want to spend time with my brother," He said kissing her and she left. 

"I'll be back later, see you, babe," she said. Well then. 

"So you stayed with Sasha?" I asked him sitting down on the couch, taking off my coat. 

"Yea she drives me insane but I love her," He said. Awe I'm happy for him. 

"So how come you still live with mom?" I asked him, he groaned.

"Okay look I have a job but not enough money, obviously Sasha won't pay part of it so I'm trying to see if the other shadow knight would want to but who wants to live with a couple" he explained.

"Well I can help you pay the house," I said. I want my brother to be happy plus I bet mom doesn't want them here.

"Really you would do that" I nodded. I would do anything for him.

"Omg thank you, Dante, come on I'll show you the house," he said getting up.

"Mom we will be back showing Dante the house," Gene said. I walked to the door, time to go back in the cold.

"Okay be back for dinner," she said. We walked out the door. We started walking to the house he wanted. Its winter and people are walking in the cold, I am so not used to the weather. We arrived at the house shortly. It was a pretty nice house and possibly Gene's new family home.

"This place is amazing," I said. Gene was smiling, he really wants this house.

"See I've been trying to get this house for a long time," he said.

"Well I'm happy to help you buy it, I see you having a life here Gene," I said. He nodded.

"Okay let me call the realtor and buy it, Sasha will be so happy," he said. Seeing him smile is amazing. I was very worried about him in high school. We walked back home and ate dinner, it was really fun catching up with mom and being with my family. After dinner, I went for a walk.

~Travis P.O.V~

It's was later in the afternoon, Katelyn and I were walking, Cadenza asked me to take her out of the house so she can plan a romantic dinner. She told me that she was going to propose to Katelyn tonight, I am so happy for them.

"Travis we have been out here for a long time, Cadenza will be worried, we have dinner plans," Katey said. I know she does.

"Katie I thought you were my friend Cadenza said it was fine, she doesn't want me to be alone," I said, she rolled her eyes.

"Fine, what are we doing exactly?" She asked me.

"Walking" she giggled.

"Duh like where are we going?" I don't really have a plan.

"Just for a walk, stop asking me questions" she groaned. I laughed. We were walking around town buying Cadenza time to set up. When we turned a corner my eyes landed on a familiar blue head of hair. He's here? Omg, he's actually here, he looks so handsome.

"Dante hey" I glared at Katelyn, she giggled. How dare she get his attention.

"Hey Katelyn, Travis, it's been awhile" he looked sad.

"Yea it has been what have you been up to Dante?" Katelyn asked him, why was he sad?

"Oh you know living, I see you guys are happy," he said. Wait does he think I'm with Katelyn?

"Yep my girlfriend and I are so happy together and Travis well he's living," she said, Dante's eyes widen.

"You have a girlfriend?" He asked. He looked more happy now. Why is he acting weird? Why am I not talking?

"Yep which reminds me I got dinner with her, bye guys" she just left me with Dante. Ooh, I'm going to kill.

"Such a good friend Katelyn" I yelled at her, she smirked.

"You'll thank me later" she ran off. I turned back to Dante.

"Hi Dante, how are you?" I haven't seen him in 5 years and this is what I say.

"I'm good, so you're not with Katelyn anymore?" He asked. I smiled.

"I've never been with Katelyn, I've only ever liked one person," I said. He looked at me.

"But you kissed her?" He asked.

"Dante, you kissed Nicole are you with her?" I asked. he shook his head.

"No I didn't kiss her, I don't even like her I only ever liked one person," he said. Who is this person?

"So are you with this person?" I asked.

"No but I wish I was, they don't seem to notice my feelings" he explained.

"I feel the same way, he doesn't seem to understand," I said. He looked up at the snow.

"So are you going to Aph party?" I asked him. The same party that broke us.

"I don't know, brings up bad memories," he said. I looked down sadly. We met for the first time at that party, yes we also stopped talking after another one but it's still special.

"What about the good ones, we met there 10 years ago" I smiled at him.

"That was a long time ago, one of my best memories," he said, I blushed. Dante was so cute back then, he was flirting with all the girls. Flirting badly, but if he flirted with me back then it would have worked.

"I hope you change your mind, I would love to see you there," I said, he nodded.

"Travis...i-" he started.

"You what?" I raise a brow.

"Forget it I got to go, mom wants me back now," he said walking away. What was he going to say? I ran back home, that night I cried. I just wanted him to be mine, to hold me and tell me he loves me. I wish things were different. I wish I was with Dante. I hate my life. I hate him for not knowing how I feel.
