I hated him (Travis x Dante)

~Dante P.O.V~

Seeing Travis again was strange. We were both awkward and I hated it. I was relieved when I found out that Katelyn isn't with Travis. I'm happy for her and her girlfriend, I wish I was that happy. I wish Travis knew of my feelings, whoever he likes is lucky because Travis is amazing. When I got home I went to bed, I didn't want to cry but I wish Travis felt the same.

"No way, really??!" I was woken up by Sasha yelling, I guess he told her about the house. I got out of bed and went to go see them.

"Omg Dante thank you" Sasha came running and hugged me.

"It's no problem" I released the hug. She went back to Gene.

"We are sorry Dante for waking you up," Gene said, I shrugged and went to eat breakfast.

"It's fine I'm not alone in my apartment anymore I need to get used to being woken up," I said. It's like 9 am. I usually wake up at 1 pm.

"So what are you doing today Dante?" Sasha asked me.

"I don't really have a plan, maybe go look at the old school, and places I use to go to" I explained.

"Sounds interesting, don't forgot tonight is Sylvana party," Gene said. Great because I wanted to go so badly. Should I go? Everyone will be there but Travis and his crush might certainly be there. I went back to my room and got dressed. I need to clear my head.

"Have fun on your walk Dante," they said and I left. Now I know why I wanted to leave this town, it's so quiet and boring. Yes, it's home and welcoming but there is nothing to do. California is where it's at. I walked down the main path, people were walking around, talking and doing whatever. I saw the old cafe I went to, still open but a new owner. I walked into it. The place smelled of baked goods and was warmer than outside.

"Welcome to the Nya bakery how may I help you?" The meif'wa at the cash asked me. I looked up at her and gasped.

"Kawaii-chan?" She smiled at me.

"Dante-kun I haven't seen you in forever how are you," she asked. So she owns the bakery now.

"I'm good, so you own this place now?" I asked her.

"Yep I run the kitchen while my husband runs the business part," she said pointing to Zane. Wow, they got married.

"Well, congrats I didn't know you guys were dating," I said, she giggled.

"Yea I love Zane so much. So the usual?" She asked, back in high school I ordered the same thing.

"Yep I don't feel like taking 20 minutes to order," I said, she laughed and went to make my order. I went to sit down to wait. Today is a beautiful day.

~Travis P.O.V~

Katelyn told me that she was so happy to be engaged, I was happy for her. She didn't know I was in on it, I'm glad she might kill me. Katelyn hates surprises. I decided to go to the cafe, I was hungry and bored since no one is free to hang out until Aphmau party. I walked into the cafe and saw Kawaii-chan was making food, I looked around and saw the blue-haired man that I love. I walked over to him.

"Hey, Dante" I sat down beside him.

"Hey Travis" he looked at me. After yesterday we are still awkward.

"So what are you doing today?" I asked him.

"Basically nothing, I have no friends here and nothing to do," he said. Everyone is busy with the party.

"Wanna hang out with me?" I asked, please don't reject me.

"Sure like old times," he said. I screamed for joy inside. I'm going to hang out with Dante all day. Omg, what if I act stupid and he hates me. Calm down Travis he is your best friend he can't hate you.

"Here your order Dante-Kun," Kawaii-chan said. If she wasn't married to Zane she would be competition with Dante.

"Thank you," he said. I smiled at KC. She walked away and went to go get my order. She knows me so well. She came back and I ate with Dante.

"So Travis, what do you do as a living?" Dante asked me.

"I work at the school, I've always wanted to be a famous swimmer though but I never left town" I explained, he nodded.

"What about you how is California," I asked.

"It's wonderful, you would love it," he said. Well if I was there with Dante, of course, I would love it. We ate our food in silence. I really missed hanging out with him I wish it wasn't awkward. We left the cafe after eating.

"So Dante where do you want to go on our tour?" I asked him.

"Wanna go see where we use to hang out?" He smirked. I nodded. We walked to the old playground behind the bushes. I remember when we use to go here, we would come up with plans to pick up girls. I only took his advice to see if I could use the pickup lines on him. He always thought I was joking.

"You know how many hours we stayed here to pick up girls, all that work and we are still single," he said. Yes because you don't notice my feelings. I nodded and we sat down, the snow is cold but I don't care.

"Dante, why did you leave?" I asked him. He looked away.

"We always planned on leaving I'm just the only one to do it" he replied.

"Yea but we said we would meet up here after high school and leave together, you left right after the party" I wish he would look at me.

"I couldn't wait" he explained.

"Why didn't you tell me you didn't kiss Nicole?" I asked. He looked at me this time.

"I ran after you Travis, I followed you back into the house. You were kissing Katelyn, we both kissed someone that night, we got girls nothing more needed to happen" he explained. He was sad. He doesn't know how much I wish I was kissing him that night. We could have been together for 5 years now, we could have been married. We could have been happy.  

So this whole Travis and Dante is shit, it's really bad. Next one I will make them go to the party and confess and have sex because honestly, I can't take this anymore.
