I RESIGN...

25 5 3

Searching for my escape.
In a dark room with no doors or Windows,
I can't even hear the wind blow.
Searching for my soul
I thought they said an empty vessel makes the loudest noise...
Then how is it I didn't know that I no longer had a soul?
Stuck behind the bars of my mind in a deep sunken place.
My imperfections are no longer perfect,
My perfections are no longer imperfect,
Slowly my eyes are closing,
My heart is aching,
I don't know how to tell you without hurting you...
A lot of unsaid words,
Broken intentions,
I'm fading by the hour,
Drifting away by the minute,
Dipping by the second,
The birds are no longer singing...
But rather they cry.
Like a new born baby exiting the womb,
I've found my scary escape...
I resign...
Until you linger not on my mind.
