In a world of dog eat dog,
Falling inlove has become rare,
Living in a generation of broken hearts and lost souls being the good guy becomes hard,
Protecting yourself from the excruciating pain that comes with heart break you have to pretend you don't have a heart.
Vulnerability hiding at the corner of mind,
It's all about who eats who first in relationships.
Nobody got jewellery across their chests but their hearts are .
Social media posts saying "I want someone to love and respect me."
Only to shatter their hearts into a thousand pieces.
I never knew that falling inlove could become a gift and curse.
The 21st century is a world filled with broken spirits and beaten down morality
The silent shattering of hearts is executed casually.
It seems like a foreign concept, this rationalism
Cause I see people feed off each other's souls, cannibalism.
Maybe this generation is forsaken as they can't see the vision clearer. They're educated to break each others minds by trial and error.
When will it end?
When will it be enough?
I guess these iced out hearts will only be thawed through the warmth of love.
