Chapter Six

I was about to leave to go to Zach's house when the front door opened. Nate and Tyler walked in and I instantly had a pit in my stomach. Nate looked at me and shook his head no. "Tyler I have to go somewhere, I'm gonna take the car." I said as I he handed me the keys. I walked outside and got into the car.

I saw the door opened and Nate walked outside. He jogged over to the car and opened the door. "Natalie don't go." He said quietly, as he grabbed my hand.

"Nate I'm scared." I said as tears rolled down my cheeks. "I-I don't want him to fuck me at school." I bit down on my quivering lip as he bent down. "But I don't want to go to his house. I don't know what to do..."

"You get out of the car." Nate said as he wiped away the tears on my cheeks. "Then you walk back inside and change into pajamas. Then come back downstairs and watch a movie with Tyler and I." I nodded my head slowly and got out of the car. Nate closed the car door and then gently kissed my forehead. "Come inside, cupcake."

He kept his hand in mine and walked inside with me. He brought me upstairs to my room and closed the door when I had walked inside. I grabbed a pair of pajamas and quickly changed. I wiped all my makeup off and then walked out of my room, where he was waiting for me. "Nate..." I started as I looked up into his gorgeous blue eyes. "Thank you."

"I would do anything for you, cupcake." He said quietly, as he brushed a piece of hair behind my ear. I smiled and got onto my tippy toes to kiss his cheek. He smiled and we walked downstairs. Tyler was putting a movie on and I sat down on the couch. "I'll make the popcorn." Nate said as he walked away towards the kitchen.

Tyler walked into the kitchen too. "She's just so perfect," I heard Nate say. "I've loved her since we were kids. Even when I moved I still loved her." Was Nate talking about me? "And seeing her crying kills me. She doesn't deserve anything but happiness."

"So why don't you just ask her out?" Tyler asked. "I mean she probably likes you too."

Nate had to have been talking about me, right? I had never really thought about Nate in that way. I had always just seen him a dick who would always prank me, but ever since he has been back he has been really sweet. I mean sure that ego of his is not the greatest, but I don't know I guess I did have feelings for him. When he kissed me this morning it felt like fireworks were exploding in my stomach.

"Natalie. Natalie!" Nate said as he waved his hand in my face. "You good?" He asked while laughing. I nodded my head and took the popcorn bowl that he was handing me. He sat down beside me and slung his arm around my shoulder.

The movie started and I grabbed a hand full of popcorn, snuggling into his arm.

I felt myself being lifted up and I opened my eyes. "Go back to sleep cupcake." Nate said as he started walking upstairs. He placed me on my bed and pulled my blankets over me. "Goodnight cupcake."

"Nate..." I said as I sat up, "I'm scared to go to school tomorrow. Can you just lay with me until I fall asleep?" He nodded and laid down next to me. I rolled over so I was facing him and I grabbed his hand, snuggling up close to him.

I opened my eyes and looked at Nate. He had his arm wrapped around my waist and my head was on his chest. I grabbed my phone off my bedside table and looked at the time 5:25, only 5 minutes until my alarm clock goes off. I opened my phone and saw that I had a text. I opened iMessage and saw the text was from Nate. I hit his name and looked at a picture of me sleeping on his chest.

I smiled and saved the picture. He pulled me closer to him and snuggled his head on my chest. My alarm clock started to go off and I hit the off button as His eyes fluttered open. "Good morning, cupcake." He said in a husky voice.

"Good morning." I said as I smiled at him. "I'm gonna get up and get ready for school."

"No you aren't." He said as he pulled me back over to him. "I texted Emma last night and we're all gonna cut school today. Lay back down." I laid down next to him and he wrapped his arm around me. He pulled me closer to him and started to rub my arm.

I felt the bed shift and opened my eyes. Nate was standing up and had his shirt off. My eyes went to his six pack, "You enjoying the view?" He asked while smirking at me.

"No." I said while giggling. Nate smiled and ran his hand through his hair. "So what are we doing today?" I asked while I stood up. "I wanna know what to wear."

"I can't tell you where we're going, but you should wear something comfy and warm." He said as he pulled his shirt back on. "I'm gonna go downstairs, you get changed cupcake." I nodded as he walked out of my room. I went over to my closet and grabbed a pair of leggings and a blue Nike hoodie.

I walked over to my vanity and did my makeup. I ran a brush through my hair and then walked downstairs. I went into the living room and saw Emma on the couch. "Took you long enough." She said while giggling.

"Do you know where we are going?" I asked Her as she nodded and smirked. "Can you tell me?" I asked while giggling.

"Nate told me not to." She said making me pout, "He wants it to stay a surprise." I groaned as she laughed. She walked over to me and whispered into my ear, "He really seem to care about you, he seems different now."

"Yeah, honestly I think I might like him." I said while smiling. Emma's eyes went wide and I giggled. "I heard him talking to Tyler last night about him being in love with 'her' since they were kids. And I think he was talking about me."

"Natalie you can't date him, he's a player." She said as arms wrapped around my waist. "Just don't." Emma warned as I turned around and looked at Nate.

"Are the two of you ready to go?" He asked as he smiled down at me. I nodded my head as he grabbed my hand and walked over to the door.
