"You look gorgeous." Emma said from where she was sitting on my bed. I looked at myself in the mirror and smiled. My brown hair was curled and my makeup looking really good. I had Ryan's jersey on, a pair of leggings and white low-top vans.
"I'm nervous," I said honestly. "I mean Ryan seems like an amazing guy, but he's a football player. They're all players." I walked over to her and sat down next to her.
"Natalie not all of them are. Ryan seems like a genuine guy and I think he might like you." She said as she smiled, "And he is hot, like Nate hot." I giggled and nodded my head. I'm not gonna lie I do think Nate is hotter but Ryan is also extremely handsome. "Also we should get going if we want to be their on time." I nodded and grabbed my phone before walking downstairs and going outside.
Tyler and Nate had left awhile ago because they had to warm-up. We both got into Emma's car and she started driving to our high school.

We were walking over to the bleachers as someone called my name. I turned my head and looked at Ryan. We walked over to each other and I smiled up at him. "Hey." He said while pulling his helmet off.
"Hi." I said as he leaned down and kissed my cheek. "I'll be cheering for you." I said as he smiled. "Beat my school's ass." I said while giggling. I noticed Nate was watching Ryan and I, a major glare on his face. Without thinking I wrapped my arms around his neck and pressed my lips against his, he wrapped his arms around my waist, still holding his helmet. "Good luck."
"After that kiss I don't need luck." He stated as he kissed my forehead. He ran back to his team as Nate started to walk over to me. He grabbed my arm just as I started to walk away.
"Why are you wearing his jersey?!" Nate yelled as he pulled at the jersey. "Cupcake, you should be wearing mine. You're my girl."
"No I'm not!" I said as I bit down on my lip. "Nate I saw you giving that girl your number. You can't claim me and expect me not to flirt with other guys when you flirt with other girls. I don't date players."
"Natalie just stay away from Ryan." He said as he ran a hand through his hair. "He's bad news."
"Nate you're bad news." I said as I turned around and walked away with Emma. I felt his eyes burning on my back, but I ignored it and kept walking. Emma and I made our way to the bleachers and sat down, just as the game was about to start. The starting lineup got into their positions.
Ryan's school had the ball first, so once Ryan got the ball to throw it Nate ran over to him and tackled him to the ground. "It looks like someone is fighting for your love on the field." Emma said while giggling, "Now which hunk is gonna win?"

The game was over and our school had beat Ryan's school 27 to 18. Everyone was leaving and Ryan walked over to me. "You did amazing!" I said once he reached me. He smiled as he pulled his helmet off.
"Thanks baby girl." He said as he leaned down and kissed me. "I swear Nate was purposely going for me."
"That's because I was." I looked behind him and saw Nate. "Now get your fucking hands off my girl." I rolled my eyes as Nate got up in Ryan's face. If looks could kill Ryan would be six feet under, the icy look coming from Nate made a shiver travel down my spine. "Lets go cupcake." Nate grabbed my hand as Ryan glared right back at him.
"Why don't you keep your hands off my girl. She is after all, in my jersey." Ryan smirked as I pulled my hand away from Nate. "I think she chose who she wanted. Come on baby girl." He wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me closer to him.
I heard Nate yelling profanities as Ryan walked me away, making me leave Emma behind. I turned my head and saw her trying to calm Nate down. His fists were clenched and his knuckles were turning white. I turned my head back around and laid it against Ryan's shoulder. He gently kissed the top of my head making me smile. "You look really good in my jersey." He said quietly, making my smile grow wider. "Do you want to come back to my place?"
"I can't tonight." I lied, "Um are you going to the party at Mike's house tomorrow?" I quickly changed the topic and instantly regretted bringing up the party. I knew if he said yes, I would have to go.
"Yeah. Will I be seeing you there?" He asked as we reached the parking lot.
I mentally sighed, "Yes you will be." I faked a smiled just as he stopped walking and spun me around so I was facing him. He wrapped his arms around my waist as he leaned down, placing his lips onto mine. I wrapped my arms around his neck and played with the bottom part of his hair, while his hands travelled down to my butt — which he lightly grabbed.
"I'll see you tomorrow night, beautiful." He said as he lightly kissed my forehead. I smiled and nodded before he walked away. I kept my eyes trained on him while he went to his car, the smile staying on my face. I started to walk to Emma's car when someone grabbed my hand. I turned and looked at a furious Nate.
"Don't date him." He stated, his face going softer, as he brushed a piece of my hair behind my ear. "I promise you, he is bad news." I sighed and shook my head. "Natalie I'm not just saying that because I like you, he really is a dick."
"He's not Nate." I said, "I have to go before Emma leaves me."
"I'm driving you home. I already told her." He said as he started to walk to his car. I sighed and followed him. I hoped in the passenger seat and buckled my seat belt just as Nate got into the drivers seat. "And just to let you know, you are way hotter then the girl whose number I got." Nate said as he pulled out onto the highway.
