If you haven't read The Mark of Athena
I have just realised something! I am rereading Mark of Athena, for like the hundredth time and I realised something. (Yes I am repeating things) Dirt Face (a.k.a Gaia) KNEW that Percy and Annabeth were going to fall into Tartarus. You remember that dream Percy had, about standing on the porch of Camp Half-blood? And Gaia is there and she shows him what it will be like when she wakes? Or if she wakes. If is good. (Waddup Hercules reference)
Anyways then she says something. As a matter of fact, she says:
"Enjoy Tartarus my little pawn."
See that? SEE THAT? She knew! She even WARNED him. Sorta. And now my mind is starting to spin for real. BECAUSE MAYBE GAIA DOESN'T WANT TO DESTROY THE WORLD; MAYBE SHE IS POSSESSED BY AN EIDOLON AND IN THAT MOMENT SHE BROKE FREE TO WARN PERCY!!! *cue gasps*
OK, who am I kidding? She was just enjoying ruining Percy's life as usual. But think of it. Pretty good theory eh?
