The nerves are setting in. It's time for the medals. We barely made it back in time. I put on my sneakers and look for Charlie. "You great, Meryl. You will win. I sure of it." Our Russian coach, Marina, cheers on. Charlie disappeared to god knows where. "The silver medalist are... Tessa virtue and Scott Moir!"
Charlie is still no where to be seen. I am shaking with nervousness. This is our chance! "And the gold medalist are... Meryl Davis and Charlie White!" I get a hug from everyone and walk up to see Charlie already there. We lean in as our medals get put on. We are handed beautiful flowers and I have a smile plastered on my face. "May I say a few words?" Charlie asks. He is handed a microphone. What's going on? This is abnormal.
"Meryl Elizabeth Davis, it has been such an honor skating with you. When I first say you, I begged Marina to switch me away from Tessa to you. You were the most beautiful skater I've ever seen. You are the most beautiful girl I have every seen." He gets down on one knee and pulls out a ring. I'm about to cry. "Meryl, please be my wife. Will you marry me?"
Charlie pov:
The tears in her eyes are tears of joy. "Yes. Yes. I love you!" I pick her up by her waist and kiss her gently. "Would you look at the gold medalist, Charlie White, had something up his sleeve tonight! Not only did he win the gold medal but he won Meryl's heart!" The awarder says and the audience awes. She looks so happy as I slip the rink on her finger. "This is the best thing I could ever ask for." She has tears on her face and I wipe them away.
"I thought you would think it's to fast but you said yes! You said yes!" I say so happily. I am going to have a wife. And she is so beautiful. I remember it hurt looking at her and hiding my feelings. And I love her. I am so lucky.
We go home, to Meryl's house. Her mother and father are so excited for the wedding. "Meryl, I'm so happy for you." Her brother says with a smile.
"I could be happier to have you." I say while looking into her eyes.
Only the epilogue is left :) I AM WORKING ON A NEW ONE CALLED ALWAYS AND FOREVER IT WILL BE UP TOMORROW
