"Mom, hurry we are going to be late!" Meryl screamed from the front door.
"I am coming Mer. Remember to be careful on the ice. " Cheryl says as they go to the car. Meryl is a college student she just didn't have a car yet. She has been a singles skater for years, but also she was a silver level ice dancer, her old partner had stopped ice dancing.
"Don't forget to pick up Gracie. " Meryl says quietly. When Gracie gets in the car she is statin at Meryl.
"Meryl," she said "I'm skating alone today. I am doing the jump harness..." Gracie speaks cautiously. Meryl, on the other hand freezes in place.
"I will figure out something." She speaks in a kind time to Gracie. Meryl's lack of depth perception normally affects her skating and Gracie is her eyes. She is like Meryl's protected on the ice. "Did you hear my friend Charlie is skating with Marina as a coach now." Gracie says happily. I have no clue who Charlie is and I don't want to know. Honestly, I don't want to know him, Meryl thinks.
It would only cause more hassle. More people on the ice means more possible accidents. I will have to push through it, she thinks to herself. I just have to be careful. Meryl's mother pulls up at the rink and she walks in.
She laces her skates quickly and immediately gets on the nice, smooth ice. Today she decides to learn her nationals jacket on because it seems extra cold in the rink. It's very dead right now so Meryl skates freely.
Charlie POV:
"Charlie Allen White!! Get out of bed! You have practice today!" Jacqui yells. Charlie, reluctantly, drags himself out of bed and get himself clothed . He grabs his skates and gets in the at with his mom. His mother is a rink sponsor so she loves watching practice.
"I don't want to do singles anymore. I want to do ice dance." Charlie says.
"I'm sure today you'll find the special girl to dance with you Charlie. Jacqui says trying to be positive for her son. Charlie has been search long for 17 years for an ice dancing partner. Everyone he skated with didn't have the connection he was looking for.
When my mom pulls into the rink I jump out of the car and run to put my skates on. I look around and notice only 2 other people are on the ice. One is Gracie and the other one is a really beautiful girl, with long brown hair and a slim structure. She's was landing axels left and right.
"OKAY MY STUDENTS. " Marina yells, "Start practicing your jumps." I go on the ice and begin to skate, thinking about the mystery girl.
