Jesse's POV:

I finish loading the gun, and put it under the mattress. I walk to the drawer and pull out the notebook under my clothes.

"3 weeks.

3 weeks and I still haven't talked to her.

I still haven't gone to her all. And all because I'm trying to protect her.

From what?

From my past."

*FLASHBACK*

"Jesse are you sure you can do this?" Matt whispers to me with a smirk as he put the mask on his face.

Matt was my best friend since we were kids. He always had a bad rep, and of course I looked up at him as a idol. He said jumped, I jumped, did a backflip, and landed on my toes just to impress him. He had green eyes, with dark brown hair. He was tall for his age which was 17.

We were in an old abandoned building. Matt said he needed help getting something and of course I agreed to helping. He told me that what ever we were getting was worth killing, if meaning to finding out the truth. Of course I just found this an exciting moment to doing something more to impress him.

I threw him a dirty look as I slid my own mask. He handed a hand gun while he pulled one from behind him.

I took a shaky breath as we entered the room.

Two guys with guns stood up pointing the guns towards me. Matt pointed at them and shot them at point blank. I couldn't process what happen, as Matt pushed me to the next room.

"What the-" the guy never finished his sentence as Matt shot him in the head. "Grab it!" He yelled as he checked the windows.

I ran to the closest rummaging the stuff there when I found it.

It was light in my hand, yet I knew I was holding hell.

I gave a approving look at Matt as we ran out of the apartment.

**********

"What the hell is in this anyways?" I asked Matt as we sat in my room. He was in the laptop, the USB connected to it. He had a faint smile that was growing by the minute when finally it was a Grinch smirk.

"Everything i needed to discover him."

"Who?" I asked him, confused. Matt was still starring at the screen when he looked up at me.

"My dad."

*END OF FLASHBACK*

Who knew that something so insignificant could come crawling back to bite my ass now.

I hear knocking and I turned around to face Tony. He still won't look me straight in the eyes and I'm starting to grow suspicious. "He's here," he mumbled. I nodded my head. He turned back to leave but i stopped him.

"Tony, I need you to be closer to Zoe. Now more than ever," i said. I see him take a deep breath and nod. "Ok."

"Good," I nod. I take a deep breath and stand up.

"It's time to see a dear old friend," I said with a sour tone.
