Chapter 4

CONNORS P.O.V.

"I love you daddy." She whispered as I was carrying her through the hospital.

She called me daddy! I know this is crazy but I fell in love with her the moments I saw her on the beach. I really want to get to know Riley.

*After the car ride*

I carried Riley bridal style out of the car and into the house. She looked like a little angel with her wavy dirty blonde hair flowing behind her.

As I walked in the house everyone was there, everyone. They all looked at me with shocked eyes.

"So Connor, who's that?" Jenn asked. " This is Riley Grace my new adopted daughter." I said softly looking down at her smiling. "She's so cute when she sleeps." Andrea said looking down at her. "Ya, well I'm gonna take her up to my room for her to sleep." I say as I begin to walk upstairs.

I bring her to my room and lay her down on my bed. I kiss her on the forehead and walk downstairs.

RILEYS P.O.V.

*Dream*

I woke up in a shed, I tried to move but my hands were tied down. A dark figure appears around the corner with a evil smirk plastered on their face.

"Why hello darling." A very deep raspy voice says still walking towards me. I wiggle around trying to find a way out. "Struggling won't help, the more you move the closer you get." The shadow says still walking closer. I tried to open my mouth to say something but it is interrupted by something hitting my face. I look closer at the figure trying to make up details it's-.

**reality**

I was woken up before I could make out the details. "Riley! Riley!" Connor says urgently. "Ya?" My mind was still racing but I luckily spoke. "You were shaking and sweating are you ok?" Connor asked. "Ya just a nightmare." I replied. "Do you want to talk about it?" He said with a comforting tone. I thought about talking to him but it didn't really matter. "Nah I'm good it wasn't bad." I lied. "Okay, well do you want to get some food?" I nodded and I walked out holding his hand.

We walked down stairs and I saw 5 new faces and JC and Ricky sitting with them.

"Who are they?" I whispered to Connor. He looked up and smiled.

"Hey guys come introduce yourself to Riley."

First 2 girls walked up.

"Hi I'm Jenn!" The girl with long blonde hair a grey tshirt, denim shorts and blue converse said hugging me.

"Hey cutie, I'm Andrea!" The other girl with curly brown hair a black tank blue jeggings and black vans said hugging me. These people are big huggers I feel like I'm on a show where everyone is all happy and rainbows ALL THE TIME.

After them 3 boys walked up one seemed younger than the rest. "Hi am Kian I live here, and those dorks are trevor and Sam" He said pointing at the tall younger looking kid and the older one with a lip piercing. They smiled and I went to go sit in between Ricky and JC.

JCS P.O.V.

Riley sat down in-between me and Ricky after everyone introduced themselves after that everyone else sat down and we decided to ask her some questions.

Q:"So Riley what's your favorite color?"

A: "Teal but I also like, a coral pink!"

Q: "When's your birthday?"

A: "May 6, I just turned 8."

Q: "Have you ever been interested in any sports?"

A: "Ya actually before I was abandoned I swam and I was really good."

After a couple more questions we decided to ride over to Taco Bell for some dinner.

"I don't know how to?" She said watching us all get our boards.

"I'll carry you come here!" I replied.

She hopped on my back and we set off for Taco Bell. Andrea and Jenn had to go home so they didn't come with us.

Once we got inside Taco Bell I looked down at Riley, she seemed really confused. "What's wrong Rie?" I asked. "I don't know what to get I've never been here before." She replied. "I'll just get you 2 tacos." She smiled and nodded. I ordered our food and saw someone I really didn't want to see.

Taylor, my ex-girlfriend.

(A/N I got back from Hershey it was fun besides the fact my friend wouldn't go on any of the roller coasters. Ugh why does no 13 year olds like roller coasters except me. I know JC didn't have a ex named Taylor that I know of, it's just a name I decided to use. I also know that Andrea and Kian aren't dating anymore but they are just friends in this book ok? ok.
