Chapter 5 : The Coopers

It is Tuesday morning and I am tired to even get out of bed. I spent the entire weekend packing and organizing my stuff to get my mind off the questions churning in my head. As you can guess, most of them revolve around a certain curious, blond haired, blue eyed boy.

Well the plus side to that party was that Gina had finally agreed to collaborate with Danny. In fact, I am going to see their first take on the video today.

I get out of bed because I have to attend that damn yoga class with my mother. Mom isn't a very demanding person but I don't want to disappoint her by not accompanying her to the class. These sort of activities are how she bonds with me.

On our way home from the class, I ask my mother if she could drop me to Gina's house and she agreed.

Even after promising myself not to trust anything that Matt said, I couldn't help but think 'what if it is true?'.

"Mom, as a lawyer you did background checks right? What sort of information could you gather from those?" I asked Mom.

" Lots of important information like birth and family records, bank accounts, employment details, addresses, phone numbers, emails, social media accounts and things like that. Why this question all of a sudden sweetie?" she says.

" Nothing mom. I was just wondering." I said trying to deflect her.

" Would you make brownies for me today?" I ask her. Knowing my mother, food will keep her distracted half the time.

"Of course sweetie" she replies.

"Thanks Mom" I said.

" Heyyy!!" I shouted as I entered Gina's studio.

What I didn't account for was Danny being there.

"Oh! Hi Danny!" I say greeting him.

"Hiii!" They both replied in unison.

"Wow! That was some harmony!" I said.

"We are doing a video on couple goals this weekend." Gina explained.

"So, you guys are suddenly a couple or what? " I inquired.

" No."  replied Gina.

" If she will have me!"  said Danny flirtatiously.

What made it funny was that they both said it simultaneously.

" Okay, that's awkward" I said.

" Danny wants to shoot in his house." Gina complained changing the topic effectively.

"It is bigger and that means we can include more background and hence more stuff in the video. " he explains.

" He has a point. " I say.

"You were supposed to be on my side. Some Best Friend you are." Gina hates when things don't go her way.

" You gather the necessary things and the clothes that you will be needing. I have all the stuff for lighting and camera so no need to bring that. I will wait for you both downstairs in my car. "

" I can't believe I get to go to Danny Pike's house!! " I said in excitement.

" Chill girl, don't get too excited. You might pass out." Gina joked.

We gathered some clothes and make up and packed them in a suitcase. We headed down to the parking to load the stuff in the car.

The sight of the car made me stop in my tracks. It was a beautiful red Mercedes.
