'All right, I'm here,' the judge announced as he walked into his office, 'But I gave you seven days to find that witness, and then you went behind my back, so you better have a good reason why you're in here asking to reopen this case.'

'We do, Your Honor. We found Leonard Bailey's alibi,' Kyra announced.

'What they found was nothing but hearsay,' the other lawyer, Larry Marsden added.

'What is he talking about?' the judge asked as he looked at Kyra and Rachel.

'He's talking about the fact that our eyewitness died three years ago, and Mr. Bailey's original attorney is going to testify on her behalf under the Turner v. Michigan exception to the hearsay rule,' Kyra summed up.

'That exception involved a written statement,' Larry announced.

'It is a written statement, and we have it right here,' Kyra said without making an effort to hide her smug smile.

'That is not a written statement. That is a bullshit affidavit she cobbled together this morning.'

The judge looked sternly at Larry, 'What did you just accuse her off?'

'I'm sorry, Your Honor, but I find it decidedly convenient that they don't have the witness statement written down on a notebook or a scarp of paper from the same decade that it happened.'

Kyra looked at the man in disbelief, 'Well we happen to find it decidedly inconvenient.'

'And Georgina Casey didn't write it down at the time because she didn't do an adequate job representing her client,' Rachel added, earning a soft pinch from Kyra.

'Are you now saying that this case needs to be reopened based on Leonard Bailey having inadequate representation?' the judge questioned, 'Because that is a serious allegation to make about a fellow attorney.'

'That wasn't our plan,' Kyra said, shooting Rachel a warning glance not to interfere before looking back at the judge, 'But if that's what it takes to give this man a chance to prove his innocence, then it sure as hell is our plan now.'

'This is ridiculous.'

The judge sighed, 'It may sound ridiculous, but if they were able to get a successful attorney to admit to a huge blunder, then I'm ruling that this case should be reopened after all.'

Rachel and Kyra walked out of the room. 'I'm so sorry, Kyra.'

Kyra smiled at Rachel, 'It's okay, it was a risk, but it worked out. Just, remember that it's better to keep your anger under control. If the judge wouldn't have wanted to reopen it, we could've always added it on top.'

Rachel nodded and Kyra looked at her phone, 'Prepare for the trial, find as much as you can on Georgina. I need to go to prison.'

'Why? Mike's getting out.' Rachel asked.

Kyra shrugged, 'It's nothing, just Harvey, who probably wants me to do some legal finishing touches.'

'Harvey, I'm

'Harvey, I'm... I'm here,' Kyra said as she walked inside, 'Why'd you need me? You said it was an emergency?'

Harvey turned around and hugged Kyra tightly while whispering in her ear, 'I am going to be lying under oath for a sociopath and I need you to tell me I'm doing the right thing.'

Kyra's eyes widened, 'What!?'

'It's because of Mike, it's taking us a little longer for the deal and if I don't help this guy... He'll surely kill Mike, I can't let that happen Kyra.'

Kyra nodded and readjusted his tie, 'If that's the case Harvey, you're doing the right thing.'

'We need to go inside, I don't think you're allowed to come with,' Harvey stated, 'You'll wait, right?'

'Yes, Harvey. I will,' Kyra reassured him as he walked inside. She tapped nervously with her fingers as she watched the minutes tick by. Suddenly the doors opened, but Harvey stormed outside, following an elderly man. 'I should've known,' she whispered to herself. She looked down at her phone, a few texts from Rachel. Apparently, Leonard was offered a deal for five extra years, but neither Rachel or him were planning to take it.

'With Rachel Zane.'

'Rachel, it's Kyra. I want you to think about this deal for a little longer, five years is not... It is not that long. Not when his life is on the line.'

'Leonard and I both think we should fight.'

'I know, but... Rachel I've handled a couple of these cases and when you lose one of those, you lose a part of your soul.'

'I understand, but I think... I think that Leonard doesn't care about that. He wants to proof he's innocent, he doesn't want to get out if it means that his family still sees him for a murderer.'

'Then we fight.'

Rachel hung up and Kyra walked outside to see Harvey, 'You waited?'

Harvey smiled, 'Of course I did.' Harvey held the car door open as Kyra stepped inside and followed after her, 'Kyra, I have to tell you. I did keep the bumblebee, until one night Elliot Stemple showed up... and threatened to take down my entire firm if I didn't give it to him.'

Kyra glanced up, 'Why would Elliot Stemple want my hairpin?'

Harvey sighed, 'Because I put it on my keychain so I'd always have it with me, he noticed and he... he said that no grown man would walk around with a bumblebee on his keychain if it didn't mean everything to him. Elliot Stemple wanted to tear me down, take a piece of my soul, not a number from my bank account. So he took it. I traded it, for the firm.'

Kyra froze and looked at him, he went with his hands through his hair, 'I am so sorry Kyra, I traded it.'

And unexpected by Harvey, she just smiled, 'You kept it all that time?'

'Of course,' Harvey told her, 'Fifteen years.'
