"You used to tell me that: love is lottery, but you got your numbers and you're betting on me. Are you still betting on me?"

Harvey Specter and Kyra Anderson were epic.
He left, she stayed behind.
Now he is broken, while she is breaking.
It'...
'Leonard, your execution date has been set,' Rachel said as Kyra sat next to her, tears welling up in both of their eyes.
'When?' Leonard asked.
Rachel bit her lip desperately and said: 'Just because they've set the-'
'When?' he asked again, his voice breaking.
'Thirty days,' Rachel answered.
Kyra's chest felt empty as she saw the man in front of her and all she could think was that she must be so pathetic and stupid to cry over someone she met fifteen years ago, when this man had only thirty days left to live.
'Leonard, I am so sorry,' Rachel whispered.
'I don't need your sorry, I want to know what you are doing about this.'
Kyra's voice was a little hoarse, 'We're going to file a motion to delay.'
'I don't give a shit about delaying,' Leonard exclaimed, 'I mean, what are we doing to get me out?'
'We're working on it,' Rachel whispered, 'But I... I do think, Leonard, that it's really important that you take some time to process this.'
'I've been processing for 12 years!' He yelled as Rachel started breaking inside, 'You said you were going to find Maria. So tell me, what are you doing here instead of out there tracking her down?'
'Leonard, I know that this is difficult, and-'
'Mr. Bailey,' Kyra interrupted, 'you are completely right. And that is exactly what we're going to do.'

Rachel nervously sat down in the courtroom, Jessica was sitting in the back, because she wanted to check how Kyra would do. Leonard looked at Rachel, 'Where is she? Without her we can't do a thing, right?'
'She'll be here,' Rachel reassured.
And right that moment Kyra walked inside, a white black dress hugging her figure and her beautiful eye makeup standing out, carrying a map full of papers. She sat down next to Rachel, who was just as stunned as Jessica.
'You want me to delay this man's execution based on his own assertion from 12 years ago that there is an alibi witness?'
'Your Honor, we understand that's not enough to reopen the case. We're just asking for more time to locate the witness,' Kyra answered, any kind of bubbly characteristics completely vanished, like she was a new person.
'You've had twelve years to locate the witness,' the judge answered.
'Not to mention that the day the execution is set is the day that their client just happened to suddenly remember the witness in the first place,' Larry argued.
Rachel quickly cut in, 'He didn't suddenly remember. He's been saying it for twelve years. And he finally found someone who cares enough about the truth to help him find her.'
'How dare you. I care about the truth. And I convicted a murderer. Your Honor, this was a brutal murder of two 16-year-old children. And the families of both of those children are here today, because they've waited twelve years for their nightmare to finally end and there is no legal reason to prolong their suffering.'
'Your Honor,' Kyra said as she raised on her feet, 'you have the power to push Leonard Bailey's execution if you see fit. Isn't it worth doing if there's even a one percent chance that he is innocent?'
'You have one week to find a witness. After that you cannot move to reopen this trial and his execution day is set in stone,' the judge concluded as he hammered it down.
Kyra smiled and looked at Rachel before walking out, only to be followed by Jessica and Rachel. 'You were amazing,' Rachel stated.
Kyra turned around, 'Thank you, Rachel. But we need to find that witness, soon.'
Rachel nodded and walked away while Jessica tapped on Kyra's shoulder, 'I just wanted to say, Kyra, you earned that early salary.'
Kyra blushed, 'Thank you, Jessica.'
'But, you're going to need this too,' she said as she got a business card out of her purse, 'Private investigator, put him on the case. He's good.'
Kyra smiled, 'I will, thank you again.'
'You're welcome.'

Kyra got a text from Rachel, Jessica's guy wasn't able to find anything. But apparently, Rachel was very well connected and she was going to ask someone she knew through her father. Kyra sighed and went to Pearson Specter, praying that Harvey wasn't there. She stepped out of the elevator and got herself a cup of tea.
'How are you doing?' Donna asked her.
Kyra looked up and sighed, 'Fine.'
Donna smiled and sat down, 'Please, you're not.'
Kyra took a sip from her tea, 'Since when do you care about my mental state?'
'I apologise for the part I played in getting you here, but I really do want to know how you're doing. I heard about what happened with Harvey, last night.'
Kyra looked at the red haired woman, 'I lashed out, I know.'
'You have to know, Harvey is not a selfish guy. He may come across as-'
Kyra cut her off, 'I know, Donna... I know... he cares more than he should. But not for me, I was a foolish teenager who believed that if a guy said that he loved you, he actually did. I believed in fairtytales and happily ever afters, but don't worry. I'm strictly here for business, if Mike's is out of jail and Leonard Bailee... I'm on the first flight back home.'
Donna bit her lip as sadness clouded her eyes, 'Maybe we'd like you to stay.'
Kyra shook her head, 'If you truly care about my mental state, you wouldn't be asking that of me.'
