After having a quite somber lunch, everyone gathered in the living room, waiting for her suitcases to get stuffed in Abhimanyu's car. All this while she was meekly sitting next to him, which was completely against her nature; observing everything that was happening around her. His friend tried to engage them in a conversation but both of them weren't interested, poor guy got the hint quickly and stopped his efforts. What was surprising her the most, at this point was the Devil chauhan, who was acting as if he was the one who was being forced in this marriage, instead of her.
Shockingly he was very respectful towards her parents as well, which was a bit perplexing for her, wasn't he the one who've threatened her parents for this marriage. Why was he behaving in such a civil manner? She had expected him to show his arrogant side once the deed was done but nothing was working as per her expectations.
"Sanyukta." The deep soothing voice of his Dadu broke her chain of thoughts. She looked up at him expectantly and respectfully, it was strange to her that how can a devil have such a sweet Dadu.
"Yes, Dadu."
"Sweety, it time to leave." She looked around and found that everyone was standing waiting for her and the devil of her husband had moved towards the door already. She nodded her head and quickly stood up.
Dadu quietly walked toward his devil of a grandson, giving her and her family few minutes alone with each other, it was quite sweet of him.
She could see that her parents and Dai Maa's eyes were glistened with tears.
"Hey! Don't worry about me. Worry about him." She said with a fake grin, to stop there tears before falling, because if they were going break now, then she knew she won't be able to stop crying.
They understood it and laughed at her weak attempt of humour. Her father walked up to her taking her stiff form in his arm for a tight hug. She hugged him back taking all the strength she could from him. Her mother too moved towards there side taking them both in her arms. This was the thing which she needed the most before leaving my safe heaven to live with the Devil.
It was very rare that she had
s both her parents together giving me support. That's why she treasure these moments all the more. My father was the first one to pull back. He brought his hands up, to cradle my face lovingly into his palm.
"I am so sorry sweetheart. Please, forgive your Papa." His voice broke.
Irrespective of their differences, She couldn't see her father in this state; she didn't reply him back in words but rather with action. She stood on her toes and lovingly gave him kiss on both of his cheeks, just like she used to do when she was a kid. He got his answer and beamed at her with a bright smile.
Dai Maa came next and gave her one quick tight hug and whispered in her ear. "Don't do such thing which will make Dai Maa ashamed of herself." She just nodded my head in understanding.
With all the goodbyes out of the way they all moved towards the car where the Devil and his family were waiting for her. They made her sit in the car with devil, where in Dadu and Devil's friend took the other one. Entire journey was finished in a brooding silence; devil was continuously busy with his phone. She have surely married a mentally ill person, now she was sure of it. He is the one who forced her family but here he is as if he the one who is being tortured God knows what's wrong with this man.
At last they reached his mansion and she couldn't wait to get out from his brooding presence. But surprisingly his house was decorated like a bride, she certainly didn't expect this because from her side of the family it was a grave affair and she thought it'll be the same from his side.
"We don't have the whole day for your day dreaming. Take a move, everyone is waiting for us." He spoke harshly. These were the first words which he has uttered to her in this whole day. Couldn't he behave nicely just for a while before showing his true colours.
She gave him a hard glare which he shrugged off and motioned him to take the lead. He turned and started to walk in a swift manner, not even caring that she didn't have long legs like him; he could at least show me some consideration, she had to literally jog to match his fast pace. Inconsiderate arrogant devil.
She was so busy matching his pace didn't even realise when he came to stop, nearly getting bumped into him. There stood his Dadu and friend with the entire welcoming party, making her jaw slack. Why does it feel as if they are treating this marriage like a happy affair fixed by them and not something which has been forced upon her?
No matter how he behaves but she can't hurt his Dadu because he's been the only one who has been really sweet to her in this entire ordeal. If she want to teach this devil a lesson, she'll need Dadu in her team and for that she'll be extra sweet to him. In all this week she had learned one thing that devil has a weakness and it's none other than his Dadu.
She was welcomed into the house following all the traditions by the Devil Chauhan's entire family which unknowingly made her happy. The leftover day passed by with getting introduced to his extended family and performing all the ceremonies, which was quiet fun and at last she even learned the devil's friend name, who was also very sweet unlike him, Raj Singh Rana.
They all had dinner, his family was really amazing, making me forget all the circumstances in which she had to marry him for a while.
But as the night drew closer so did her heartbeat. She just had to give him the sleeping pills and she'll be at least for this night. Pills are still securely held in hand which she had kept in a tissue paper hiding them from everyone. But how will she make him have them was stressing her. All of a sudden an idea popped in her head making her eyes sparkle in delight.
Thank you Dadu, you've just made my life easier.
