"Abhimanyu Pratap Chauhan." Those three words were still ringing in her ears. She could see her parents looking at her expectantly. But she didn't know how to react at this point.

Now I know why I hate that man so much. He truly is an evil spirit in my life. Why did my parents have to go to him, out of all the people in the world? She thought to herself.

She doesn't have a very close relationship with her parents, as they've hardly ever been present in her life. It's like once in a blue moon, where she gets to meet both of them together. But she do respect and care for them tremendously.

"So, what do we do now? I have some savings and there are still my funds which I have yet to use. Won't it be enough for repayment?" They gave a sad smile to her suggestion.

"Sweetheart, it won't even cover one forth of it." It shocked her to hear that because that trust fund was of twenty five million rupees. How much did my parents took from him and God why him? Was the first thought that came to her time.

But looking at her parents face, she could tell that there is more to the story. They are definitely hiding something from her.

"Out with it. What more is there?" She crossed her hands on across her chest and raised a brow in question.

Her parents gave each other a look. Their eyes did the communication, which she used to love about them. But right at this moment it was irritating her.

Her father nodded his head at her mother and turned to face her.

"There is one thing which can be done. But I don't want you to agree right at this moment. Take your time before making the decision. We are always with you-"

"Will you please cut the chase and be out with it." She was already at her breaking point and his speech to comfort her wasn't helping much at all.

"He gave us an offer. He wants you to marry him and all our loan would be considered paid off." Her father said it all in one breath, waiting for her explosion.

Any other day she would have done that. But right now situation is different, she need to analyse everything, all the pros and cons. But in reality it wasn't much of a choice. Even though no one attested to it, that he was a criminal and there was no proof towards it as well. But there were talks about him and all rumours definitely have some sort of truth to it, or so she believes.

Many people say that he's done kidnappings, rapes, drug transactions, many of the gang wars were initiated thanks to him. But there was no proof and on to top it all he belongs to a prestigious old businessman family. He rubs his arms with all the elites inside and outside of their country.

Looking at everything there isn't much to decide. Decision is already been made by the Devil Chauhan. She contemplated what will happen to her parents, if she says no and it wasn't a very good visual which she imagined; both of them lying in the pool of their blood; it gave her Goosebumps. The end wasn't looking much too bright right at this moment and there was nothing else left for her to do except saying 'YES' to the devil.

When her father saw her in deep contemplation he added hesitantly. "This is not like a permanent marriage. He said he wanted you to become his wife for the fixed amount of time. The marriage will end when he decides. So in a manner, I guess it's a good thing right?" he looked at her hopefully, scratching his neck in nervousness.

Okay, this one I didn't expect. But it really didn't matter much, one day or lifetime of a marriage. It's still the same for me. She thought.

Her decision already being made; she chose lesser of the two evils; she looked up at her parents with determination shining through her eyes.

"It doesn't matter dad one day or two. I am ready and it's good if it's just for a short period of time. We'll soon get rid of him and his loan. His chapter in our life will end one way or another. Tell him yes. Tell him to make the contract which states that if I'll marry him the loan will be considered to be paid off and never to be spoken about again." She said softly, making her parents look relieved.

Her dad got up from his chair, walked up to her, pulling her in his arms, giving a tight hug. It surprised her because her father doesn't show this much of affection in a public place.

"I am sorry princess. You have to suffer because of your dad's fault. Please forgive me, I Know you hate that man." She could feel him choking on his emotions, running through him. It hurt her to see him like in this state.

He pulled back and pecked her forehead lovingly.

"It's okay dad everything will turn out to be good, trust me." She tried to comfort him.

By the time he took his chair the waiter came and placed their dessert on the table and it was her favourite pineapple pastry.

"Come on Mom. Not you too. Everything will be fine. Let's enjoy the food." She said looking at her overly emotional state and dug into the pastry with great gusto. Just to make them feel that everything is fine and she is not affected by it much. For a moment she forgot that they were sitting in a restaurant.

But a war was raging within her. They finished their food, paid the bill, and departed the restaurant. But not before Sanyukta taking the promise from them, that wedding would be a very small affair with only immediate family and friends, that too in a temple.

She reached her home and found Dai Maa sitting quietly in the kitchen. Looking at her tensed form she realized, that her Dai Maa knew what was going on. Of course my parents would have informed her before they informed me. They were like the best of friends. She didn't disturb her and quietly walked to her room.

Well, the devil wants to marry me. Fine I'll marry him. But I vow to everything that is Holy, he'll regret the day he asked me marry him. With an evil grin she texted Priya, narrating the entire story to her, since she would be in a meeting with the man of the hour 'Devil Chauhan' and won't take a call.
