How can I express how much I miss you.
Words do often fail, and at times,
I am compelled to silence,
In the beauty of thy presence,
That I fail to dutifully articulate,
these emotions that swell at my heart's gate.
Well, I miss you.
When my pensive eye wanders,
Across the green mountains yonder,
Blanketed in crawling clouds white,
Rolling down the mountainside.
Reminding me of you.
I seem to find you dancing
In my mind as I travel,
My feet crunching fresh morning gravel
And on the city's damp cobblestones pausing,
In the biting cold of the morning, lonely.
I find myself strangely searching for you,
Although I knew,
You weren't there.
In vain my eyes run down those empty streets,
As though they sighted you hiding playfully,
Amongst its shadowy pillars.
You may not feel it,
But I miss you,
When the earth is watered by the torrential flood of tropical rain,
And I startled,
I thought I heard your voice in the sweet sound of the clear rivulets,
singing as they dance through the grasslands.
So my heart wanders once again across the green mountains yonder,
Blanketed in crawling clouds white, Rolling down the mountainside,
Following your shadow,
Yet always missing you.
