Annabeth POV
When he said he'd seen better, I hoped he meant what I thought. I still had a bit of liquid courage in my system though, so I had to tease him to make sure. When he responded with "Take a compliment wise girl" I was caught off guard. Most people, I could tell what they were thinking and how they would act, but Percy managed to surprise me a lot. I thought about the moment earlier when I touched his face, brushing my thumb against his lip. It wasn't until that second that I realized just how much I wanted him to kiss me, which was something I hadn't wanted in a long time. I looked at him, a long appraising gaze. I was sure he was about to ask me why I was staring at him, but before he could speak, I stood up. I looked down at him. "How crazy are you feeling?" I asked with a smile. He grinned right back. "Whatever level you're on seems just right." Before he could ask anything else, I pulled my top over my head, leaving me in jeans and a bralette. I had never see Percy looked so shocked. "Want to go for a swim?"

Percy POV
I had seen Annabeth early in the morning, and I had seen her late at night. I'd seen her smiling, frowning, laughing, and annoyed. But she had never looked more gorgeous than she did now. The moonlight made her skin look like porcelain, even though I knew she had a darker tan. She was now wearing only a flimsy lace top and boy-short underwear. It wasn't even the exposed skin that made her so attractive, but I felt like she trusted me in this moment, and I just wanted to earn it. She walked towards the water, only stopping to call back, "I heard you're a certified lifeguard, so if I drown I'll assume it's a personal vendetta." I was still sitting on the sand in shock. She was dipping her toes in the water when she noticed I hadn't moved. Throwing a plant from the water at me, she laughed, "Come on Seaweed Brain. I promise I won't throw you to the sharks." That was all the motivation he needed.

Annabeth POV
I don't know where my sanity went, but I don't think I regret losing it. Percy had pulled off his shirt, and looked as if he was nervous to remove his jeans. He pulled them off and ran down the beach, which prevented me from admiring him as I would have liked. He ran past me, but grabbed my hand, pulling me into the water behind him. It was a little chillier than I expected, but the water was warm enough once I got used to it. Percy was still holding my hand, using me as an anchor as he floated around. Finally, he swam closer to her, and she grabbed his shoulders to stop him from floating past. His momentum pulled her off balance, and before she could right herself Percy was holding her, and before she could stop herself, she was kissing him.
When their lips touched he went rigid for a split second, as if shocked to find himself here. She almost pulled away, but before she could he tightened his grip on her waist, pulling her tight against him. And oh gods, she had never been kissed like this. Kissed as if they were the only ones left in the universe. Kissed as if it mattered. When she did pull away, it was only for a second. Just far enough so that she could look at him, and try to figure out what he was thinking. He offered only a smile, and held her face with one hand. "Gods Annabeth, has anyone ever told you how beautiful you are?" She couldn't stay away any longer, and their lips crashed together again. She was pulling him back up to shallower water, and before long, they were both lying on the wet sand. The cool of the sand was against her back, but Percy was pressed against her front, and his warmth more than compensated. After what felt like a second and an infinity, he pulled away from her, looked down at her, and pressed a lingering kiss to her lips. He then sat down beside her, and she sat up, noticing they were both breathing rather heavily. "So," he said, "do you think anyone's wondering where we are?"
