Hazel POV
The party had been going for a couple hours, but Hazel hadn't really seen her friends since they first arrived. A group of them had gone outside to smoke, leaving Hazel and Frank alone inside. They had been talking for a while, and he even introduced her to some of his football teammates. Overall it was a good night, and then Piper came running up to her. "Have you seen Percy and Annabeth?" She was grinning pretty maniacally for someone with lost friends. "Uh no, not since they went outside earlier." Jason was standing behind Piper, also smiling. "I hope they haven't gotten into any trouble." Frank laughed and the four of them waited for the two to make an appearance.
It was close to two in the morning when they finally showed up. The party was still going in force, though not quite as rowdy as when Leo forced half the class to do shots. They came through the side door on the back of the house, obviously not trying to be seen. Both of them had slightly damp and sandy hair, and Percy's shirt was inside out. They also both had huge smiles on their faces, and they were holding hands, even though they let go of each other when they got inside. Hazel saw them, but she didn't think anyone else had. Then she saw Reyna and Rachel.

Annabeth POV
As she and Percy entered the house, they unwillingly released hands. They had talked about it on the beach, not wanting anyone to get ideas. Obviously, people would take one look and them and guess something had happened, but Annabeth had no desire to fuel the flames. Percy gave her one last, longing look and walked back into the kitchen, leaving her to find their friends. Scanning the room, she saw Leo standing very close to a girl in the opposite corner, Piper and Jason were talking to Hazel and Frank. When she looked at them, Hazel had already seen her. She had a wide grin on her face and must have seen Annabeth and Percy come in together. She smiled back at her. Then, she looked at Reyna and Rachel. They were standing at the foot of the stairs, and they were both staring daggers at Annabeth. Uh oh. This was going to be fun.

Percy POV
Percy had an extremely difficult time walking away from Annabeth. After their heated kiss on the beach, they had sat and just talked. She had alluded to having a bad relationship in California, but she didn't elaborate, and Percy didn't want to push her. Due to whatever guy she had dealt with in the past, she didn't want everyone to jump to conclusions and spread rumors. Percy couldn't blame her. He was enjoying this bubble, just them in their own world. He told her about his family, his crappy childhood and his mom getting remarried and having his little brother. She talked about her parent's divorce, and her dad ignoring her in favor of his new family. She was open and honest and surprisingly easy to talk to. He even found himself telling her about his first step-father, who had beat him and his mom. She kissed him when she saw the burns on his arms where Gabe had put out cigarettes.
Separating from her when they were inside was hard. He could feel the loss of her presence, and missed her. Woah. He needed to slow down. He had barely known her a month! He could not be falling for her, yet, here he was. Standing in the kitchen staring at nothing, thinking about the girl who had stolen his heart.

Rachel POV
Wow. That was all I had to say. Some part of me, maybe it was a ridiculous part, had always figured that, one day, Percy would open his eyes and see that we were meant to be. They had been close friends, since the ninth grade, when he had stood up for her after some bitch had knocked into her and sent her tumbling to the ground. She had looked into his sea green eyes, and instantly been smitten. He had always been cute, but when he starting swimming sophomore year, he had gotten hot. Rachel was not the only on who'd noticed. She'd hoped that when he saw all the posers chasing after him, he'd see how real his friendship with Rachel was. No such thing happened. Now, here they were, years later, and he still had no idea. At least he'd never seemed interested in other girls either, so it wasn't Rachel-specific. But now, after knowing this Annie girl for barely a month, he was rolling around with her in the sand? That did not sit well with Rachel. Someone needed to teach this girl a lesson in loyalty.

Annabeth POV
She made her way over to Piper, Jason, Frank, and Hazel. All of them gave her questioning looks, but she just rolled her eyes. Their looks seemed to get louder when Percy came and joined the, group. Of course, only now did she realize that his shirt was on inside out. Seaweed Brain. She realized she was staring at Percy with a kind of weird look on her face. She tried to make her expression normal, but Percy staring back at her wasn't helpful. If his expression was any indication of her own, they were giving it all away. Oh well, what was the worst that could happen?
