Samon's P.O.V
~1 year later~
"Ughh...I should've listened to big sis Noriko, now I can't find her or Aniki anywhere. Why is Japan such a huge place?" I whined to myself as I ran around corner after corner looking for them. We were on a trip and came to Japan to stay for a few days. I was so excited about coming to a new place, that I wanted to see every inch of Japan. But big sis Noriko had told me to stay by their side for my own safety. But I didn't listen. I was convinced that I was tough enough to take care of myself. While we were out, I wanted to look around on my own for a bit. So I quietly snuck away. It was just going to be for five minutes. Just five minutes and I would've gone back without them noticing that I was gone.
Before I knew it, I completely lost them. I had no idea where they were, and I got scared. I felt to ashamed for feeling like this. If Aniki found out, he would've greatly disappoint in me. So now, I've running around, looking for them for about an hour now. I ran to places where I thought they'd be, stores, stands, everywhere I could think of. But I still couldn't find them.
And I was getting more scared by the minute. I started to ran pass alleyway, hoping to catch a glimpse of Aniki or big sister Noriko. I ran pass one alley in particular and my eyes widened. What I saw had stopped me dead at my tracks. In the alley, there, sitting down and shaking uncontrollably, was a boy who seemed to be about two years older than me. I noticed that he was holding his left eye, blood was running down his arm at a fast pace. I didn't know what to do. I couldn't just leave him here.
I started walking towards the boy and the closer I got to him, the more I noticed he was littered with bruises and dirt. 'What happened to him?' Is what I thought to myself. The boy had black hair, wore a red shirt, black shorts and shoes. For a moment, I thought I heard him muttering to himself, but I couldn't hear exactly what he was saying. I noticed all the blood was dripping down his arm now. Internally, I was beginning to panic.
If I don't do something soon, then this boy will probably die from blood loss. I kneeled down in front of him and gently placed my hand on top of his. Upon contact, I felt him jump under my hand. He opened his eyes to look at me. His eyes were filled with pain and shock. He looked at me and appeared to get into the defensive. I noticed he opened his mouth to say something to me but he closed it. He must've decided that it was best not to speak.
"It must hurt, doesn't it....?" I quickly got up and ran into a nearby store and, after a few minutes, I came out holding a water bottle. I ran back to the alley, relieved that the boy was still in the same place. I sat down in front of him and took out a cloth in my pocket that big sis Noriko gave me. It was a green cloth with a blue butterfly in the corner. She said it reminded her of me, so she gave it to me as a gift. I put a bit of water on it and grabbed his hand. He looked at me and I looked into his eyes. From the look in his eyes, he didn't trust me at all. But I knew that he had too. If he doesn't, that wound of his will only get worse. I made sure my voice was calm and quiet as I said this. "Trust me, please...?" I gently asked him. He then put his hand down, showing me the extent of his injury. I almost gagged at the sight, but I pulled myself together and started to nursing his wound.
Big sis noriko had taught me a little healing charm a while back and so I used it on him, but sadly, it would still leave a scar on him. After I cleaned his wound, I pulled away and noticed the wound was so big and deep. It was shaped as a cross, was over his eye and ended a little bit under his nose. I was going to ask for his name when all of a sudden...
"Samon!! Where are you!!" That worried voice happened to belong to big sis Noriko. I got up and looked at the boy who was now staring at me. I think he looked surprised that I had stopped to help him out. I smiled down at him and left. I walked out of the alley and turned and saw big sister Noriko and Aniki coming towards me and I went over to them.
After getting scolded by big sister Noriko and lectured by Aniki, we started walking away. As we were walking, I suddenly felt a tight grip on my pinky. I looked down at my hand and my breath was caught in my throat. There, clear as day, I saw a red cord tied around my finger. I followed the string with my eyes and noticed it lead back to the alley where that boy was at. I looked away, and smiled to myself. 'We'll meet again, my fated one.'
I had found him. I don't know when I'll be able to meet him again. I know, as promised, I will forever cherish and love him. And nothing will make a difference.
