Chapter 2: A Unexpected Visitor

I quickly awoke from my sleep from the sound of a thunder outside the encampment, "shit......" i said as i put the pillow over my face, I had never liked thunderstorms, ever since i could remember they just always terrified me. Then I heard a light chuckle, i reconized it from last night, I sat up quickly and looked around the dark room and stopped at the mirror where my eyes met with the man i had seen last night. Except he looked different he was wearing a black suit, black shoes a green scarf, a golden cane and his hair slicked back, he grinned at me and i glared at him, "why are you here...." i said as i rose from the bed, he totally ignored my question as he spoke, "you know you mortals are so amusing...... but you are intersting...you are the first mortal to catch my attention... for instance.... you can see me..... no mortal can when iam cloaked.... you can fight me......no mortal can fight a god..... and no mortal can have power like you do....". "your point..." i said as i crossed my arms in annoyance, he smiled, "you could be benificial to me..... so... i'm going to stay here on earth a while and keep an eye on you.....", i looked at him and glared as he got comfortable in the chair across from me, "you really dont think you can stay here...do you? S.H.I.E.L.D will get us both if they catch you here and i'm not sticking my neck out for a guy that i don't even know his name!", "Oh.. how rude of me......" he said as he stood up, "I'am Loki...God of Mischief....." he kissed my hand. 

I stood there as he looked at me his green eyes flickering with amusement at the blush on my face, "i-iam..... -", "Lillian Leigh Barton....known as lilli by your companions.... i know who you are already..." he said as he sat back down. "how did you....." i studdered as he smiled and tapped the side of his head, "i read your brothers mind..... since for some reason i couldnt quite get to yours..... which makes this more interesting.....". 'clint is outside the room...' i said as i paniced, i opened the door and he walked in and looked around, "who are you talking to?" he asked me. "him..." i said as i pointed to the chair in the corner, "lilli noone is there....." he said as he crossed his arms, "right there....!" i said as i pointed again. Clint looked at me and helped me into bed, "you must still be tired..... get some more rest i'll check on you in the morning" , I looked over at the chair and loki was grinning like he was enjoying the arguement me and clint were having. He shut the door and i looked at loki, he was smiling at me, i glared at him and felt stupid as i remembered only i could see him. I placed a hand on my face and sighed, he rose from his seat, "now...for rest....traveling in and out of the bifrost has weakened this mortal form im in........your miniscule sleeping chambers will suffice is suppose.....". He then proceeded to remove his clothes and my face turned red, "oh..nononononono!" i said as i stumbled out of the bed, "you wear clothes to bed here.... no going commando....not in my bed....." i held his hands and he grinned, "moving alittle to fast arent we mortal...." i looked down and noticed where my hands were, my eyes widened, "oh no! don't even think that!!" i said as i backed away my hands behind my back. He smirked, "don't worry.. i'll have clothing on in bed....." he said as he put on a black tank top and black shorts that belong to my brother. I sighed and walked to the bathroom and shut the door as he got into bed, I took a warm shower and washed my hair and got the dirt off of me from last night, i sighed and thought to myself, 'jesus what have i gotten myself into clint thinks im crazy...theres a god in my bed.... if he  is even real..... am i crazy... it seems only i can see and hear him..... but...these wounds are real......i'll just have to see what happens i guess.... thats all i can do.....'. I proceeded to get out and dry off, i put on a mild perfume that smelled of jasmine, honey and Juniper, then slipped on a black tanktop, black shorts and i put my hair up in a ponytail.

I walked out and he was sitting up and looking at my journal, he hadn't noticed i was out yet, he said one of my favorite quotes from my journal i would put in there at night time, "Legend says if you can not sleep at night, its because your awake in someone elses dream.....by... Anonymous.....intersting...". I cleared my throat and looked at him my arms crossed, "yes?" he said, I grabbed my journal and he smiled, "oh... did a touch a nerve? i was reading that book till you got out.... was it something i was not ment to read?". I glared at him as i put the journal in my drawer, "yes.... it was my journal.... i put my thoughts in it everyday...its all of my personal thoughts and feelings....". He grinned, "i noticed.... i saw where you had written about what was it...'my beautiful emerald eyes'.." he laughed and i hit him with a pillow, i was so angry and embarassed. His smile faded quickly and he glared at me as he fixed his hair, "anyway.. lillian..... shall we slumber..." he said as he shifted himself over so i could get in bed. I crawled in next to him and looked at him, a blush crept acorss my face as i looked into his eyes, "d-don't get any ideas......" i studdered. "don't worry i won't.... also.... thats a lovely fragrance i smell on you... you should use it more often...." my eyes widened, 'did he just say that' i thought to myself frantically.

 I shook it off and fell asleep, by morning i felt the sun rays hit my eyes and i tried to turn but i couldn't i felt someone holding me close. I looked down and saw loki sleeping soundly in front of me with his arms around me and his head on my chest, i felt like freaking out at this moment but i slowly relaxed and let him sleep. I laid there for hours watching him, the way his hair fell over the side of his face and how innocent he looked, i blushed and looked at his lips. I felt him shift and pull me closer as he woke up, he yawned and looked up at me and grinned, "enjoy the view...lillian....", "i..... umm.... what?" i studdered as his face came close to mine, he was teasing me, i could tell by the look in his eyes, i felt his lips graze mine lightly and i blushed. He grinned and got up, i laid there in shock my heart  skipping, he laughed as he looked back at me, "where are the bathing chambers.... ". I shook of the thought of what had happened and looked at him, "the bathroom??? right here......" i said as i led him in, I walked to the shower as he looked around the room, "now this is how you turn it on and off.....this is cold and this is for hot....and for the sink its the same as the shower.....if you need anything please tell me". He grinned and pinned me to the wall, he lowered his head till his lips were lightly against my neck, I looked at him embarassed, he smiled and whispered, "thank you....lilli...." he let my arms go and i smiled slightly, " your.....welcome......" i said as i rushed out of the room closing the door behind me. 

I leaned against the door and placed a hand on my chest, 'lilli you idiot.....pull yourself together' i thought to myself before going to the closet to get some casual clothes out, 'i'm not staying here as long as he is with me... he'll distract me and i'll get discharged..... i'll just go on a short leave for personal reasons..... i guess.... ' i pulled out a black bra, black panties, dark blue v-neck shirt, dark denim jeans, black thick heeled boots that fit over the jeans. I walked over to the mirror and brushed my hair and put on black eyeliner, eyeshadow and the perfume loki told me he liked, i sighed and put my combat suit in the closet and walked out of the room to tell my brother and phil where i was going, 'this is going to be fun......' i said to myself annoyed.
