I texted Chase the next day when I had my lunch break.

Me: Hi it's Maddie 😝

Chase: hey 😆

Me: I'm going to be back from set at 3:00 pm, so maybe we can go shoot some baskets 🏀

Chase: haha sounds great. oh and just to let u know, I'm gonna beat u! 😂

Me: Yeah, sure 😂

Chase: do u live here?

Me: No. Just here for my movie lol. I'm staying at the Chernobyl hotel

Chase: oh me too 😄 but are you from California too?

Me: Yeah! 😊

Chase: Oh cool 😄 when my brother is done with his auditions here we're heading back to Cali

Me: Oh, when? I'll be back in 4 months 😕

Chase: idk it depends on how many he's going to audition for and how long were staying for vacation. probably can be anywhere from 2 months to 3 months

Me: Oh, not too bad at least!😅 Well, my mom wants me to have my lunch now. Ttyl 😝

-- At the park, four hours later --

I sat on the bench, bouncing my basketball up and down. It was 3:27 pm. No sign of Chase. I decided to shoot some baskets. Shot, miss. Shot, miss. I really need to practice. Shot, basket!

As soon as I made that basket, I went back to the bench. I was grabbing my bag and when I turned around and bumped into someone else. "Chase! Sorry about that!" I was so happy to see him, but his facial expression looked like he wasn't happy to see me. "Something wrong?" I asked.

"Umm... I'm not Chase. I'm his brother, Chandler." He smiled. Chandler! This was the Chandler Riggs!

"Oh! Hi Chandler! I love your acting." I smiled and laughed at my stupidity.

"Hey. Thanks, Maddie. I like yours too." He smiled. He was so nice, they were both nice. "Can I have your number? You seem pretty cool." This made me feel so special. "Oh, yeah. Sure!" I replied.

I put my number in his phone and asked him where his brother was. "Oh, Chase went to the movies. He should be back by 5:15." He told me and I checked my phone for the time. It was 4:21 pm. "Oh, thanks for telling me. Wanna play?" I asked, holding my basketball out.

-- Chandler's POV --

I lied to Maddie. Chase was at the hotel, waiting for it to be 5:15 pm. I told him to meet her then because she left a voicemail, which she didn't. He really likes Maddie and I do too. When I saw her for the first time in a movie she was in, I saw how beautiful she was. And this was my chance to meet her in real life.

We played basketball until 5:10 pm and I told her I had to get back to the hotel. She was fine with it because Chase would be there in five minutes.

-- Chase's POV --

I checked the time on the t.v. It was 5:13 pm. "Oh, I should get to the park now." I said to my mom, who wasn't sure what I meant but just nodded anyway.

I ran to the park. I wanted to get there on time. I was there and saw Maddie shooting the basketball. "Hey! Sorry I'm late. I'll make it up to you, wanna get ice cream later?" I asked.

"Oh, hey! Don't worry, I'm always late and it's 5:18. Not late at all." She smiled her beautiful smile. I wanted to ask her out at the ice cream parlor. I know I just met her, but she's so nice.
