-- Chase's POV --

I couldn't sleep at all throughout the night. I can't stop thinking about Maddie. I should stop though, she isn't mine any more. But I can't stand not being with her.

It was two in the morning. I snook out the door and ran to the stairs, no time for the elevator. I ran out of the hotel and to the village. I bought a pocket knife.

I took a photo of the knife cutting into my wrist and sent it to Maddie. This would change her mind, wouldn't it? Am I a psychopath?

-- Maddie's POV --

I woke up in the middle of the morning because my phone went off. I had a text message. I checked it and saw it was from Chase. What did he want?

I want you back Maddie. I don't care about Chandler. Please help me I can't stop. Hurry before 4:15 am to stop me.

What the hell Chase?

To: Chase

What the hell is going on? I don't have feelings for you because I can't decide to choose.

My phone went off ten minutes later. A picture of about five cuts on his wrists.

Please come here and help me. I love you. I need you to help me stop myself.

I sighed. I was trying to sneak out when my brother opened the door from the bathroom. I almost had a heart attack.

"Oh, Will! You scared me a little." I said, along with a startled jump.

"Oh, um hey. Where are you going?" He asked.

"I was going to talk a walk outside. I know it's late but I'm not tired and I need to wake up." I lied.

"Oh, alright... have a good walk." He said.

When I got to the village I tried to find him. I walked everywhere until I finally found him behind a gift shop.

I ran towards him.lThere was blood running all the way down his arm.

"Chase! Stop!" I was terrified. "Drop the knife, NOW!" I yelled. He finally dropped it.

I heard sirens behind me. The cops. I turned around. "Hi officer." I said, shaking.

"Move aside, we need to take him down to the station." He said politely.

I watched as he put Chase into the back of the cop car and drove away.
