Chandler & Chase

Chapter Seven: The Breakup

-- Chase's POV --

"What was that all about?" I asked her. She frowned.

"Oh, that was nothing..." She lied. "C'mon, you can tell me." I said. "Chandler asked me out. I just said no but I didn't say why. I don't want any conflicts." She told me. "Yeah, he'll kill me if I tell him. He really likes you." I told her.

"I need to take a nap, my head hurts." She said sleepily. "I can keep you company until your family gets back from... where are they?" I asked. She walked over to the bed. "They're having lunch and shopping. They should be back in two hours." She said. "Plenty of time." I smiled. We cuddled in the bed for about an hour until we were woken up by someone banging on the door yelling. Chandler.

"MADDIE ANSWER THE DOOR! IT'S CHANDLER! WE NEED TO TALK!" He yelled. Maddie yawned and got up. "Hide in the bathroom, quick." She whispered and I did as I was told. She answered the door.

-- Maddie's POV --

I opened the door. "What do you want?" I asked. "I love you Maddie, please just be my friend at least. I know you're mad, but I just re-" I cut him off. "I'm taken. Sorry." I was closing the door but he stopped it. "By who?" He asked, kind of furious. "My brother?" He added. "What? No..." I said. "BS! You obviously are dating him because he hasn't returned from the 4th floor yet!" He was getting over protective. We weren't even dating.

He barged into the room, pushing me out of the way. He tried to open the locked bathroom door. "Chase!" He yelled. "Open up!" He added. "Chandler stop it! You and me aren't dating, why are you getting crazy about this?" I asked. "Because I like you and Chase isn't safe for you!" He said.

"JUST STOP THIS!" I yelled. Chase unlocked the bathroom door and came out. "Chandler, are you just jealous? You're both so sweet and hansome, but I don't know if I can keep doing this." I said with tears in my eyes. I looked at Chase. "Chase... we need to break up. I love you, but this is causing too much chaos for me. You both need to leave... I'm sorry." I said, crying.

I didn't want to break up with Chase. This was too much for me. I can't chose between two boys who are both so nice.
