Riley's POV
"I-I-I...."
'Take your time.'
I smiled and looked into my beautiful boyfriend's eyes.
Beck recently got hearing aids so he can hear slightly, but only when he's in a quiet room. Which is where we are right now. He signs still because he became deaf when he was 4, so it'll take a while for him to be able to speak normally. Anyways. It's his birthday today. And we have been dating for about 5 years, so I decided to try to give him a good present. Hearing my voice. And being the first person to do so in a long long time.
I cleared my throat. It hurts to talk because I haven't in a while so my throat gets sore way easier than an average person's does.
"I... lo-love... you...... s-so... much... Beck."
A tear slipped down his cheek. 'Oh my god, Baby, your voice is beautiful. I love you too!'

'I'm so happy I can hear your voice now. Your beautiful voice.'
"I haven't talked... in over 5 years.. I can't believe... it." A tear slipped down my cheek, but almost immediately my amazing boyfriend wiped it away and kissed the tip of my nose.
'I know, my love.'
"H-happy birthday."
'Thank you for the amazing present.'
I just smiled in response.
How did I get so lucky? Even when I tried to push him away. He never truly went away. And I am so thankful.
