Failed Attempt

Hermione's POV

Another day of awkwardness.
Well, I guess since, well, me and Ron fought. *Ahem* Past Tense.
I was wondering if he and I could be going to Slughorn's Christmas Party together.
It was lunch. He wasn't with Lavender that time. I knew I had to make a move. So I did.

"Umm... Ron?" I asked.

"Yes?" He replied.

(Ok so regular font: Hermione. Bold:Ron.)

"So Ron, would you like to go to Slughorn's Christmas Party together?"

"I'm in a relationship remember?"

"As friends."

"I'm not going to that stupid party."

"But, you practically begged me a few days ago."

"Change of plans. Lavender and I are going to the Three Broomsticks."

"Oh to what? Snog? You can perfectly do that in public!"

"If you're so jealous why don't you ask McLaggen to make ME jealous. Not like it'll work. Cause you're a nightmare!"

"You know what? Maybe I will."

I saw Cormac sitting on the other end of the table. I walked towards him.

"Hello Hermione." Said McLaggen.

"Hello Cormac." I said  sitting next to him.

I looked over to see a Ron. Who's face was being sucked off by Lavender. Ron was still looking at us.
I smiled.

"Would you like to go to Slughorn's party with me?" I asked politely.

"Um.. yeah sure." He replied.

"Thanks." I said then giving him a kiss on the cheek.

I walked past the Weasley. He was frowning at me.
I just smiled mischeviously, winked at him and walked away.

Ginny's POV

"SHE WHAT?" I asked Harry.

"She kissed me. But I swear I pulled away." He replied.

"I believe you. Don't worry. It's Chang that needs to be worried. IMMA RIP THAT CHANG TO PIECES!" I yelled.

"Ginevra chill!" He said.

"Don't call me Ginevra. Or else." I told him as I felt red.

"GINEVRA! GINEVRA!" He chanted.

"POTTER!" I said attacking him

Hermione entered the common room.

"Get up will you?" She asked.

"What did Ron do this time 'Mione." Asked Harry.

"He made me ask McLaggen out. I'm going to the Christmas party with Cormac! Can you believe it?" She asked angrily.

"That arse." I said.

"Let's go to the prefect's common room. You can snog there in peace." She replied.

"Ginny's got a boyfriend remember?" Asked Harry.

"We broke up. He and Amelia's relationship got Cough to another level. If you know what I mean." I said smiling.

We walked up to the Prefects' Common Room.
Only to find a snogging Ron and Lavender Brown.

"Get out." I told Lavender.

"Won-won! Look! She is cheating on Thomas! With your best mate!" She said in disbelief.

She probably figured that me and Harry were together cause we were holding hands.

"I broke up with Dean! Ok? Honestly Ronald. Stop dating gossip girls." I said.

"You only broke up with poor Dean to be with Potter!" She yelled at me.

"WE WERE NEVER IN A REAL RELATIONSHIP YOU TWIT!" I yelled. "If I find find out that you tell anyone... I'm going to turn you into a bat!"

"No. You were with Potter  the whole time?" She asked me.

"We were friends. Friends, Lavender. And you don't treat Ron like a boyfriend. You treat him like a snog toy!" I yelled back.

"Ron. Aren't you gonna do anything? Anything at all?" Asked Harry.

"Yeah Won-won. Me, your adorable little girlfriend or your sister?" Asked Lavender.

"Um... HERMIONE!" He yelled.

"What?" Hermione asked.

"Lav-Lav. Let's just go." Said Ron pulling Lavender out the door.

"Hey Ginny. Will you be my girlfriend?" Harry asked me.

"OH MY GODS! YES!" I yelled hugging him.

"That's amazing!" Yelled Hermione.

"Don't worry 'Mione, Ronald will come to his senses." I said.
