Quidditch Tryouts

October 1st
Quidditch Field

"Ok everyone, just because you made the team last year does not guarantee you a spot this year." Said Harry loudly as nobody but Ron was listening.

"SHUT IT!" Yelled Ginny as she went beside Harry.

"Thanks." Said Harry.

Ginny nodded her head.
Ron looked up to the bleachers. There he saw Hermione smiling at him and Lavender Brown blowing him a kiss. He saw Hermione rolling her eyes.

Harry explained everything that needed to be done.
Soon they were off in the air. Ron was not only surprised when Cormac McLaggen was also trying out for the part of Keeper but also mad when McLaggen asked Ron to formally introduce him to Hermione.

As Cormac's tryouts were incredible, Ron became nervous. He looked up at Hermione who was mouthing You can do it to him. Ron then gained hope. Hermione was cheering for him. Not Cormac McLaggen. McLaggen was doing a very good job. If he didn't mess up, Ron wouldn't get the part. All of a sudden, when the bludger was going towards Cormac, he moved aside. He let the bludger go through the hoop. Ron looked at Hermione who was smiling. Ron thought to himself Did she help? He hesitated to the thought.

Tryouts were over and Ron made the team. 
Althought Cormac also made it.

"Potter chose his girlfriend and his bestfriend!" Yelled a Gryffindor that didn't make it.

"Yeah well we're better than you! You wouldn't last a day as a beater during quidditch games! You weren't even close to hitting the bludger!" Yelled Ginny in an angry voice.

"Yeah but-" Continued the Gryffindor.

"GET LOST!" Yelled Ginny in return.

"Bloody hell Ginny." Said Ron. "Hey Hermione." He finished as Hermione caught up.

"Congrats Ronald!" Hermione said hugging Ron.

Ron froze. Hermione realised what she just did and walked faster than everybody else.

"Harry, I left something, can you walk me to the shed?" Asked Ginny.

"Uh, yeah sure." Said Harry leaving Ron and Hermione alone.

"So, how's Charms?" Asked Ron realising how stupid his sentence was.

"Good actually." Said Hermione. She looked at Ron. "Can we walk to the Black Lake?"

"Yeah sure." Replied Ron.

Meanwhile

"I would pay money to see those two snog." Said Ginny.

"Yeah. I would too. Wait, you didn't leave anything did you?" Asked Harry.

"Nope." Replied Ginny.

"Then, why are we here?" Asked Harry.

"You know nothing about romance do you?" Said Ginny.

"Actually... Wait." Said Harry.

Ginny lightly kissed Harry. Harry kissed back. Ginny stopped and went out of the shed acting like nothing happened.

"Gods." Said Harry.

Ron and Hermione

"We're here." Said Hermione smiling.

They sat down. It was really cold. Ron gave Hermione his sweater.

"Thanks Ron." Said Hermione nervously. She then looked at Ron. "Here goes." She thought.

She kissed Ron. Hoping it would get him to like her. Hoping that it would mean something to him.
They stopped. Hermione raised her eyebrows and widened her eyes.

"I have a date with Lavender this weekend." Said Ron trying to change the topic.

"OH MY GOD! You are such an arse Ronald Weasley! We kiss. And all you do is say you have a date with Lavender? Do you have any idea how- UGH!" Hermione didn't finish her sentence. She stood up and stormed off to the castle.

Harry and Ginny found Ron sitting alone by the lake.
Ron had explained what happened.

"Really? You get kissed by Hermione. THE HERMIONE GRANGER. And you bring up a date with Lavender?" Asked Ginny. "You are an arse Ron. You are." She then took Harry's hand and walked up to the castle.
"Come on then. You don't want to be sad do you? You look like  loser all by yourself."

"Yeah I'm coming. We're cool right?" Ron asked.

"Of course. You're my brother. But, you aren't cool with Hermione. She's pissed. I can tell." Said Ginny.
