Chapter 2: Souless Sam

*Niki's POV*
Dean beat the living shit out of Sammy. And I didn't even stop him. We were on a Hunt for the Alpha Vamp, working for Samuel. (Dean and Sam's reserected grandpa) Dean and I don't really trust him as is. When Sam watched and let a vamp feed Dean his blood and turned Dean into a freaking Vampire. Sam had knocked me out. Then Dean went to Lisa's and almost attacked her when Ben caught him, and Dean had to push him down (very hard) to stop himself from killing him. Then ran off. Then Cas and I found him and cured him with the Alpha vamps cure. Then to top this all off we found out Sammy did this on purpose to find the Aloha Vamp for Samuel. So Dean beat him sensless, we are now at our hotel and Cas is examining Sam to see if Sam is... well... still Sammy.

*Sam's POV*
I wake up in our hotel room. I remember Dean beating the shit out of me. Cas is all up in my face observing me.

Cas:"He looks terrible."

I then notice I'm tied up to a chair.

Cas:"Are you feverish? Or speaking in tongues?"
Sam:"No."

I cant believe Cas is trying to diagnose me.

Dean:"Your job is to answer all of Cas' questions and otherwise, shut your hole."
Cas:"How much have you been sleeping?"
Sam:"I dont. Not since I got out."

Cas looks alarmed.

Cas:"What do you feel at the moment?"
Sam:"Like my nose is broken."
Cas:"No that's a physical sensation. How do you feel?"
Sam:"I don't know."

Cas takes off his belt and puts it in my mouth.

Cas:"Bite down. This will be unpleasant. So if there's some place in your mind, you find soothing. You should go there."

Before I can protest, Cas shoves his hand in my chest. My veins glow with energy. I scream out. It feels like my insides are melting. When Cas finishes he takes his belt and turns to Dean.

Dean:"Did you find anything?"
Cas:"No."
Niki:"So that's good news right?"
Cas:"No. It's not. He's perfectly healthy, but... It's his soul. It's gone. From what I'm guessing, Sam's body was brought back from hell but his soul stayed behind with Michael and Lucifer."
Dean:"So is Sam still...Sam?"

Cas studies me for minute.

Cas:"That is a very interesting philosophical question."

*Niki's POV*
As Dean and Cass argue over the possibilities of returning Sam's soul from hell, Sam begins to try to loosen his rope.

Sam:"Dean, Nik please untie me."
Dean:"No. You're not leaving the room."
Niki:"Dean then we won't let him leave the room, but we could untie him at least."
Dean:"Nik, with love, and respect, shut up."
Sam:"I won't hurt you. I only wanted to stop the vamps. I'm sorry it won't happen again. I'm still me."
Dean:"Sorry."
Sam:" I didn't want to do this."

He then rises out of the chair untied.

Sam:"You can't hold me. So I guess you're stuck with a souless me. Sorry."
Dean:"I'll be watching your every move."

We then started discuss who has the power to retrieve Sam's soul. Sam remembers nothing from his resurrection. Except one thing. We woke up in a field next to Samuel, their grandpa.

All of us head to Samuels office we tell him we have questions. Samuel looks to Cas.

Samuel:"Your stronger than I imagined."
Cas:"This is just a vessel. My true form is the size of the Chrysler Building."

Dean asks Samuel what he remembers and same as Sam he remembers waking up in a field next to Sam.

Castiel then checks Samuel for his soul. It's there. Cast then tells us that he has to head back to the Civil War in heaven.
Dean:"Stay on this case as well Cas." Cas:"Of course. (With sarcasm) Your problems always come first. I'll be in touch."

He gently rubs the back of his hand across my cheek and disappears.

*Later*
During a strange hunt with Samuel and his crew, Dean and I are left waiting at the cars because Samuel doesn't trust us. When we sneak around we see them loading a large man into a truck. We go back to the cars and wait there and head back. Dean suddenly stopped the car on the way back and tells Sam the we saw him loading the Alpha vamp into the truck and Sam replies with "Oh". He tells us we're not supposed to know that.

After we get back and put a GPS on Samuels vehicle we follow him to a warehouse. We sneak into find him torturing the Alpha vamp. Who is tied down at the moment. He gets loose and is about to kill everyone including us when...

We look and see Crowley. We then find out Samuel is Crowley's bitch.

Niki:"Hey you're my best friend. Why didn't you tell me that you had Samuel working for you and...Oh my god... If you knew he was out then... You bastard. Why didnt you tell me about Sam?"
Crowley:"Well darling it's business. And I don't discuss business with friends."
Niki:"Yeah well lesson learned. What we had is done."

Crowley looks hurt.

Dean:"Do you know how to get Sam's soul back?:"
Crowley:"If you want his soul, you'll have to work with Gramps here. And I'm the one who raised them both so I can retrieve it. Me Charlie you angels. Get me the leaders of all the monsters and you get the soul. Everybody wins."

He disappears.

Outside Dean, Sam, and I come to the conclusion we have no other choice, if we want Sam's soul back.

Sam:"We get my soul back, then we hunt down Crowley and..."
Niki:"We kill him."
Sam:"Exactly. Are you with us Dean?"
