Maddys POV

Jaz had only just made it to the hospital in time. A few more minutes and she would have lost too much blood.

I stood at the side of her bed. She had wires and monitors hooked up to her.

"That must have hurt." I said like an idiot.

"No shit Sherlock." Jaz said impatiently half joking.

"I'm no Sherlock Holmes that's you." I said smiling. Jaz thought for a moment before nodding in agreement.

"I do like the hat." I laughed.

"What's so funny?" dr jones asked walking into the ward.

"You had to be there." I explained. She nodded smiling.

"So what's going to happen?" Jaz asked. For a while no one said anything. No one had a clue.

"We've been so used to getting kidnapped it's like we have nothing to do." I said sadly.

"I guess we have solved this mystery. But we haven't stopped Gary yet. We don't know how to." Dr jones noted.

"Yeah but-" I began but was interrupted by the TV.

"This just in. A young man called Gary has arrived at the White House to make a speech. We go live to our reporter, Marie Deneal to watch the speech." The lady said as the screen change and we see Gary standing outside the White House. Jaz swore.

"I am Gary Fair. My father was Jake Fair. A very successful man. He followed some of the clues to the declaration of the world. It basically says that whoever presents it formally to the world leaders, has full ownership to the world. They don't have to accept but if they don't, they'll end up in a war. a war that I guarantee I will win." He said it proudly and confidently. I glanced over at Jaz who remained expressionless. When the news reporter comes back on and announces that's all about that until later that's on, dr jones turns the TV off.

"We are doomed. He gets control of half the world and we end up in a war, then we are literally screwed." Dr jones said. I nod.

"There's really not much we can do. We can try to stop him, but he has so many allies, how can we?"

"There has to be a way. It's not impossible, just highly unlikely." Jaz said doubtfully.

"What if we call Amy?" I suggested hoping the doubt was hidden.

"I dunno. I mean, maybe she knows something, but will she tell us? it's pretty risky. Gary might punish her again, but worse this time." Jaz replied.

"It's worth a try. Maddy call her." Dr jones said. I nodded and grabbed my phone. I called Amy and walked over to near the window.

"Hello?"

"Hello, it's Maddy."

"Oh hi Maddy. Did you see Gary's speech?"

"Yeah. We were wondering if you knew what Gary's planning next."

"Well... yeah but I shouldn't say anything. I'm on the edge of his cliff. He'll shove me off if I tell you."

"Please, we need to stop him and he loves you, he won't hurt you."

"Um...fine. He's going to Venice in Italy. The next clue is at the bottom of the water in a small chest. I have to go now. Bye." Amy hung up.

"Ok." I said to Jaz and dr jones. "I talked to Amy who said Gary is going to Venice in Italy. That's where we are going next. The next clue is at the bottom of the water in a small chest. That's all she told me. She was pretty nervous about telling me about his plan though. I think he scared her so she wouldn't tell us so easily." I explained.

"So we're going to Venice?" Dr jones asked. I nodded. Jaz swore.

"I hate boats." She muttered.

"You need to stop swearing Jaz. You swear a lot." Dr jones said worriedly. I nodded grimly.

"So what if I swear here and there? ok not so much here and there." She said realising how much she swore.

"So what? it's becoming a habit." Dr jones said. I nodded in agreement.

"Alright, alright I'll try and cut down on the swearing." Jaz sighed. I smiled.

"So when do you get out of the hospital?" dr jones asked Jaz. She shrugged.

"Tomorrow I hope. I'm sick of being in this beeping hospital." Jaz said angrily. Dr jones and I gave her a look.

"What?" she asked smiling confusedly. Dr jones and I just kept shaking our heads at her.

"Oh for god sake." Jaz said. She yawned.

"We better go and give you a chance to rest." I said. Dr jones nodded smiling.

"You get better." Dr jones said waving as we walked out the door leaving Jaz to rest.

Dr jones and I walked back to the hotel we were staying at. As we walked I thought about Amy. I wondered what her childhood contained. Maybe one day she'd tell us.
