So apparently Titan's Cafe is a real place. I didn't know that when I was writing this. Just found out when I went to find a picture to post. Anyways, I obviously do not own the cafe nor the name of said cafe. I did, however, leave the name in the story. ;]

(Piper)

-This starts a little before the last chapter-

The bell rang for first period twenty minutes ago. I wonder where my girlfriend is. She is usually one of the first people to class. She hates being late, though I don't know if that's true anymore. It's nearing the 18th and Annabeth always gets sketchy around the 18th.

I don't understand it. I worry about her a lot, especially around now. She gets so caught up in her thoughts that sometimes she forgets to eat. I can't stand to see her worry so much but she won't tell me anything anymore.

Maybe she is seeing someone else.

No. Not possible. I don't think Annabeth would cheat on me like that. She would tell me she wasn't interested in me before trying to get with someone else, right?

She wouldn't just be interested in someone else just on the 18th though. Maybe it's something else. I don't know but I have to tell her that we are supposed to be getting a new family member around the 18th. It would be rude if she missed the introductions, plus I don't like how she just disappears. She could be dead in an alleyway and no one would know because she just decided to up and leave.

The struggle.

I put my books on the desk. The door opens and Annabeth walks through with an excuse for the teacher about being in the bathroom. The teacher doesn't question it because Annabeth is a "good" kid. She sits down beside me.

"We were thinking about setting up a welcoming party for Poseidon's son. It would be great if you were there to help plan," I tell Annabeth because I know something is off but I don't want to push her.

I was right because she immediately looks away with a grim look and mumbles an answer. Annabeth never mumbles.

"Annabeth," I start but the bell rings. She rushes out the door before I can say anything else. We don't have another class together till after lunch.

When I get to lunch she's disappeared. I can't find her anywhere. She isn't in the library. She isn't on the bleachers at the gym. I can't find her. I'm frantic. I worry about her all the time.

I run up to the others when I see them at the usual lunch room table. Before anyone says a word I speak up, "Has anyone seen Annabeth?"

I get a few no's and a couple shake of the heads before I see Thalia in the lunch line. I sit down at the table, anxiously waiting for her to walk over. My knee bounces up and down as I see her laughing as she walks over.

She won't give me a straight answer. I'm so over this. I can't believe her with her bullshit about how the "walls have ears." She just doesn't want to give me an answer. Thalia makes me want to scream. Annabeth is my girlfriend. I have a right to know where she is. I mean, it's not like I stalk her but this is getting a little out of hand.

Thalia gave some crap about going to her work after school today. I don't want to go if Annabeth isn't going to be there.

I just need to breath. Annabeth wouldn't want me to get so worked up over nothing. I'll probably see her when 5th period starts. We have that class together. I probably don't need to get so worked up and with that thought, the lunch bell rings and I go off to class to see my girlfriend.
