I would like to give a THANK YOU to Jshet01 just for commenting. Really makes me realize I should probably work on this story more than I do because there are people that are like legitimately interested and honestly I hate it when people start writing and then never finish. There have been a few fanfics that I've read and really have enjoyed only to come to a screeching halt when I find out that they haven't updated since 2012 and it probs isn't going to happen. I don't want to be like that. So I will update. I have a game plan. I'm going to see how it goes. Anyways, thank you Jshet01.

This chapter is short and kinda a filler, but the next one will be longer!

(Jason)
School was boring today. Not like it isn't boring any other day but today just seemed to particularly drag out. I blame it on the family meeting. It got me all hyped up. I really want to meet this new addition to Nico's family.
Speaking of Nico, my gorgeous boy friend had met up with me in the library after the disastrous lunch with my sister Thalia. She can be a little on the melodramatic side but I feel like all girls are this way. Its one of the many reasons I'm way more into guys. Particularly my Nico.
Nico after some intense kissing behind some bookshelves asked if it would be okay for us to skip out on going with Thals to her work. He wanted to get home to ask his father something. I want to say that something was about the family meeting but I try not to pry too much. Trust is key in any relationship.
So that leads us to the now. I threw my book bag in Nico's room. We started to hang out on his bed playing video games. Nico gets really hot and bothered when he looses.
"Damn it, that was so a head shot," Nico says as he throws the remote down. The controller bounced on the bed before sliding of the end to the floor. I sigh.
"Just admit it Ghost King," I say setting the remote to my side and slowly inching closer to him, "I am a much better shooter than you." I end the sentence with my lips just barely brushing against his while grinning hoping he would take the bait.
"Better shooter maybe," he says before pushing me back till I was laying down, "But definitely not the better attacker." He chose that moment to slam his Italian lips on mine. He sucked on my bottom lip asking for entrance which I gladly gave him.
I was hoping to get some action soon, however that did not happen as we heard some shuffling around in the house. Nico has this thing, where he has to know who is in the house when we have sex. Take Hazel for example. If Hazel is in the house, no sex for me. If Bianca is in the house, no sex. If its someone he isn't blood related to, maybe sex. Depends on the possibility of them coming in the room.
I sigh as Nico sits up and grabs my remote, which conveniently was still on the bed. I sat up and watched him play solo for a bit before telling him I was going to find food.
Leaving the room, I made my way down to the kitchen. I grabbed some grapes and cheese before pulling out my phone and asking Thalia if they would be home soon. I got no response but I figured if they were talking like they said they were going to at lunch then no, I would not get a message back.
I played on my phone until the bag of grapes was gone. Throwing the bag away I head outside. It smells weird. Not like the normal flower smell that usually surrounded the area.
It dissipated as the wind blew. I went out on the path of the garden. I always found the flowers to be quite beautiful. I found Annabeth sitting on a bench. I walked up with my hands in my pockets.
"Well Annabeth, I would think you to be a smoker but that's the only explanation I can think of it to smell like their area at school right here."
I think I scared her when I spoke seeing as how she jumped a little, her blonde curls bouncing a little with the action.
She blinked. "Air quality travels depending on the wind. Perhaps someone nearby was smoking and it traveled. "
"Doesn't explain as to why the smoke is clinging to your skin," I sit down next to her.
She shrugs and looks of into the distance.
"You plan on disappearing like usual," I ask. She sighs. Annabeth doesn't say anything for a little bit so I figured she wasn't going to answer me.
"I know the new child is going to be here supposedly around that time," she shakes her head, "I just can't do that to." She cuts herself off. Can't do what to who?
"I just can't be here that day. I have other engagements I need to attend to," she finishes.
I nod. I keep silent. There are so many questions. What the hell does she disappear for? Why is it only around the 18th of August that she really falls off the radar. Why does she seem so depressed recently? Like life is just suddenly becoming too much to handle. Why isn't she letting Piper in? Why is she not letting anyone in?
Instead of shaking her and asking all the questions I have concerning her worrying behavior, I stay silent. I nod again and we enjoy each other's company. We sit there till the sun disappears, lost beyond the horizon.
Eventually I stand up, my bones aching as I do. I look at Annabeth in a quiet question on whether or not she was coming in. She signs but stands up and we walk in together. We eat a voiceless dinner together in the kitchen. The only sound coming from the chip bag as we occasionally stick our hand in the bag for some more. Then she nods to me before opening her mouth for the first time in hours.
"Thank you Jason."
Then she rounded the corner and disappeared. I'm glad I gave her the support she needed, however she left me to clean up the dinner mess. I sign before rolling the bag of chips up and placing the plates from our sandwiches in the sink.
Heading upstairs, I find Nico passed out on the bed with the controller in his hands. I roll my eyes but pull out my phone to take a picture because honestly he was adorable. I then take the controller and put it away along with the earlier discarded controller on the floor. I turn the game system off as well as the lamp before sliding my pants off as well as my shirt.
I get really close to Nico and wrap the extra blanket that we aren't laying on around us.
I snuggle really close, my lips ghosting against his ear before I whisper the one thing I make sure to tell him every day.
"I love you Ghost King."
