Above is a picture of Annabeth, which you guys already know but I figured it was fitting since I go off on an Annabeth tangent towards where I decide to break the chapter up.

Don't worry though, the whole chapter is in Nico's POV cause I hate POV changes mid chapters.

(Nico)

I wake up before Jason. It's Friday. That means Hades and Poseidon have to go to work. I roll out of Jason's arms, instantly loosing that comforting feeling they provide. As I draw back the covers, I regret all notations of getting out of bed to see if my parents had left yet. It's freezing cold!

I look at the clock and decide they most likely haven't left yet. I had meant to catch them yesterday after school, however I got distracted by Jason and the video gaming. I'm going to beat him the game one day. However, that is not important for this morning.

So with one last longing look at my warm bed, I venture out of the room to find Poseidon. I knock on my father's door. Soon after he opens it with a look of surprise.

"You're up early," he states almost in a shocked state. I look at him with confusion because of his shock, then shake my head because it doesn't really matter; I came here for a purpose.

"Where is Poseidon," I questioned him. Hades looked at me again with that same shocked look. It's because I don't usually come to them for anything, and when I do come to ask a question it's usually addressed to Hades. It's not that I don't like Poseidon, I just don't usually talk to adults. I'm a do it myself type of person.

Eventually Hades replies, "Went to get food. Since when did you get up early when you didn't have to?"

"When I want to," I reply shaking my head and walking off.

I find Poseidon in the kitchen just like my father said. Poseidon is talking to one of our kitchen staff. I sit down beside him quietly. I put a pancake on my plate and start lathering it with syrup to busy myself until he finishes his conversation. The cook walks away and Poseidon turns to me with surprised eyes.

"You're up early," he states similarly to Hades.

"Is that really that big of a surprise to everyone," I state, "Apparently everyone thinks I sleep until the moon appears again. I'm not a fucking vampire."

Poseidon simply chuckles at my outburst.

"I actually arose from my crypt for a reason," I state when he's done laughing, "I have a question."

"Oh, really," he states while sipping his coffee from a blue mug. As I stated, I don't normally talk to him. A question would be weird for me to ask him.

"I was wondering, may I go with you to pick up your son?" Now that the question is out, I don't want to take it back, but I wish I hadn't asked it. I don't want to intrude on his first meeting with his son.

"Of course you may come," he says with soft eyes and a relieved like look on his face, "I know your father will be at the meeting with me, but I didn't want to scare the boy. Having another child around might make Perseus feel more welcomed when we ask him to live with us."

I nod, not sure how to reply to that.

"I just want Perseus to feel welcome. I'm glad you kids are so accepting of him already. Will Jason be joining," he continues.

"I believe so," I reply, "He's still sleeping at the moment though."

Poseidon nods at my reply and reaches for some toast. We eat in silence. He knows I don't say much and doesn't try to initiate a conversation. That's one of the things I like about him.
