Chapter 6: Day 2

I laid on my bed, my chest exposed. The flame from my crown was warm on my forehead. When I opened my eyes Zach was there, caressing my stomach. "Do Gods have personal space?" I muttered out. He chuckled. "They do, but we don't." He hovered over me. 

His eyes were deep with desire. Burning with need. I felt it, it had been what I have been feeling all day yesterday after I ran. For a moment I saw his eyes change. 

He still lingered over me but he must of noticed my distress. "Something about your mind is different." I touched his face. 

"I think I blocked everything out somehow." He leaned down and put his forehead on mine. I felt an odd cool sensation run through my body, almost like a cool river flowing in my veins. It felt so peaceful and calming. After a moment I heard him speak. Can you hear me? 

I opened my eyes and his eyes were still closed. "Yes I can hear you, why?" His brows furrowed. Use your mind, like I am. I'm linking us, so you can always call to me wherever you need. 

I gasped when his face had made no change, no movement but I could hear his voice clear as day. I closed my eyes and focused. I hear you. The flame on my crown turned a deep navy blue. In almost an instant I felt all that water rush back up into my head.

He pulled his forehead away from me and our eyes opened. His eyes were swirling with blue energy, he smiled when he noticed my flame turn from the navy blue back to its original flame. 

"Call to me whenever you need and I will hear you. I will come." I smiled. 

I couldn't hold back anymore, I couldn't take it. I pulled him down and slowly guided his mouth to mine. Our lips met slow and sensually. It felt as if we had done this time and time again. 

As if we were old lovers meeting again. It was soft, he was careful. As our lips danced I could feel the sparks coming off of our bodies. We knew each other, our souls knew each other. 

When he pulled back he smiled down at me but soft. Almost lovingly. When I finally took in his entire body I noticed he was completely naked. I yelped. 

I pulled the blanket over my head. "Zach you can't just do that. That's inappropriate." His hand grabbed mine and pulled the blanket down. 

He threw the blanket on the floor and exposed me but I was still wearing my God leggings. God leggings... I really need to find out what these are actually call. Yeah I don't know what they are but God clothes okay, don't judge me. 

"This is all for you and only for you to see. It is not sexual, although it can be," He winked at me. "It is an act of vulnerability. Exposed and open for you, all of you." 

I felt compelled to be closer to him. I pulled the blanket back up and pulled it over us. With a snap of my fingers all my clothes were off. 

I pulled him down on top of me and hugged him. The feeling of our skin on skin contact sent chills through my entire body. It wasn't sexual at all. 

I could feel all of him. I heard him take a deep breath and relax. We stayed that way for a while. It was peaceful, I could do this for all of eternity. 

"Athena wants to test your power threshol-" I looked up at the same time Zach did and Adeline was staying wide-eyed. "OH MY GOD I'M SO SORR-" I checked to make sure the blanket was covering everything important, it was. I quickly snapped my fingers, clothing Zach and I.

I stood up. "Adeline it's okay, we weren't doing anything. We were just relaxing together." She crossed her arms and leaned on side popping out her hip. 

"Mhm, yeah okay. Even though you've been all horned up since yesterday?" Zach stepped forward. 

He put a hand on my shoulder. "If you need release I can-" I quickly walked next to Adeline. 

"Okay so Athena? Power threshold? Sounds important, lets go!" Adeline lead me out of the room but not before I caught a blush creep up on Zach's face. 

We walked down towards the Arena and when I walked in I saw Hades. I quickly floated up and the flame burned bright. I readied my attack. 

"Wait! It's not real! It's an illusion!" Athena was waving her arms frantically and I floated back down. "Good to know my  battle magic is still realistic." She huffed after catching her breath. 

"So you have control over your power alright, I just need to teach you how to funnel it." I stared at the fake Hades and shrugged. 

"What do you mean by funnel?" She pulled out a giant old book and put it on a pedestal in front of me. She opened it and skimmed through it till she found the correct page. 

"So some powers, depending on the God, can be used at full force, at will, or channeled through different forces." I made a confused face. 

"Think of it this way. Some have an on and off switch. Some can just be used freely, always on. And others have levels of force, like sparking a small fire in your hand or engulfing the earth in flames." I looked at her and she twitched a bit.

"Are you o-" She pushed me forward and set me in front of the fake Hades. "Light his hair on fire." I focused my energy. The flame on my crown grew, I wasn't sure what color. In an instant the Hades was engulfed in flames, she thew a bucket on him. 

"Yeah, kind of figured that'd happen. But at least you didn't light the entire sky on fire right?" I let out a nervous laugh. 

"Don't be discouraged. Your power is great, unique. I'm just hear to help you wield it. If you deliver one kill shot and it misses, you'll be out for the count. Only while you're still half mortal."

I nodded. I focused again and a small flame appeared in front of me. I let it grow into the size of my fist. "Now what?" Athena looked awe struck but looked at me sternly. 

"Place it on his hair." I watched as the flame floated over to Hades. Gently, dancing. Once set on his head it engulfed him. Burned him to a crisp. 

"I didn't do that." She put an arm on my shoulder. "You did, but you controlled it. You willed it, told it to be calm, and after that you let the fire do what it does. Consume." I smiled. I felt my energy grow, my glow grow. 

"You're losing your mortality. Which is amazing. But it won't be gone in time for Hades so lets keep going." I floated up with her and the real fun began. 

A/N: I'm pretty excited about the last chapters. Not sure how many but this is kind of like a mini series? It's somewhat experimental. Like mini episodes but continuous? I can't explain my thought process but I'm doing the damn thing lol
